September WIP and ideas for new content in August

I’ve unveiled my September themes: “Cozy Living” and “Cozy Studyroom” 📚🏡

I plan to release both sets at the same time. Following the layout shown in the reference pictures, I want to place desks right behind the windows in both rooms and build the whole vibe of Cozy Studyroom around that setup ✨

Let me start by talking about my creative inspiration. The intense heat this year meant I couldn’t install central air‑conditioning, so I had to use portable and window‑mounted air conditioners instead. That inspired me to create the “Cozy Living” set centered around window air‑conditioning units for this summer 🌡️

I wanted to design a sofa that looks incredibly comforting at first glance, layered with blankets and sheets for that genuine homey vibe 🛋️. Behind the sofa, I’m only making one bookcase. I think it would be so lovely to lounge on the sofa with a cabinet right behind me to store odds‑and‑ends, snacks and drinks — that would make me really happy haha 😂. I will add slot points on the sofa armrests, so sims can place small objects there to bring more real‑life charm.

In front of the sofa, I’ll create modular storage cabinets and a TV. I plan to drape a piece of cloth over the TV. This idea comes from my mom; she always covers electronics and furniture with cloths to keep dust away. That way you only need to wash the fabric covers, even if those covers look a little silly haha 🧻. To match the aesthetic, I will also make a small‑yet‑practical coffee table topped with a square cloth cover.

If you look closely, there is a rod mounted on the window — it is a clothes rail for hanging garments 👕. In the nearby corner hangs a cord with lots of books dangling from it. I got this idea from a time I accidentally spilled water on my books; I would hang them up like this to speed up the drying process haha 📖.

As for the Cozy Studyroom set, I’m still refining my concepts 🎨. I want it to be a hybrid room that functions both as a study and an art studio. I plan to add paint‑splatter decals above the door. Of course, I will also provide a clean version without any paint marks. I’m still unsure how well this idea will turn out.

These are my rough concepts for the two sets. It’s all a little messy, but that wonderfully cluttered lived‑in feel is exactly what I’m aiming for haha 🫧.

This trip actually gave me lots of creative inspiration 💭. While I was driving, a song I had saved started playing on loop: Baby by Justin Bieber🎶. This track takes me back to my elementary‑to‑middle‑school years. I instantly fell in love with his voice back then, and his posters covered every wall of my bedroom. It brings back so many memories of my school days. Now that I’m working, I often miss that period of my life — those easy, fulfilling days are something I cherish so much 📓.

That inspired me to create a high‑schooler’s bedroom for a teen living in Copperdale High School. It will be delightfully messy: crumpled dirty clothes scattered across the bed, merch of favorite singers and actors everywhere, textbooks, homework and revision notes spread all over the floor and desk. There will be stains and little doodles on the desk surface and so much more ✏️. I’m going to start working on this set in the next few days. I hesitated for a very long time wondering whether I should make it, but in the end I want to bring the vision in my head to life.

My mind wanders a lot when I drive 🚗. I’m a huge Harry Potter fan, so I’ve long wanted to build a room in Hufflepuff‑themed color palette with lots of Harry‑Potter‑related details 🦡. I also want to make rooms based on different Sims careers: for example, a dedicated space for a sim influencer who does live‑stream sales; equipment sets for a pet‑clinic business; props for a pet‑treat‑baking shop, and many other career‑themed builds. I’m curious whether you guys would enjoy this kind of content. I also really want to make a Stardew Valley themed series too hahaha🌱.

I have endless creative ideas, yet my time and energy only let me work on them little by little 🫠. I often wonder whether you all will like what I create — this is something I care about a lot haha.

Throughout my CC‑creating journey, the most heart‑warming thing I’ve gained is realizing that so many people genuinely like my work and support me. That is exactly what keeps me going hahaha 🥹. I truly want to thank every single one of you for your love and support!
