Monster Girl Tavern - v0.5.0c Release

v0.5.0 is a gigantic update introducing the final minigame for Monster Girl Tavern, which is its very own Monster Girl Trading Card Game. Collect cards of the cast, assemble various archetypes like the ever-growing Alraune or graveyard-summoning Undeads, and beat the various bosses around the world, like Velvet and her Demon Deck, or Titania and her Fairy deck.

A big part of this update was polishing all the current systems so nothing gets left behind, and nothing feels like a prototype.

I haven't forgotten about the lewds either. This update introduces five new sex scenes, accounting for 10 HCG total. The next part of the story is available, a confrontation with Victoria and the Headless Horseman. There are even undocumented secrets in this update. Enjoy!

The next update is going to be the 'Town Update'. We'll finish all the 'in development' content, and flesh out the town with new NPCs, interiors and the ability to chat with the cast. This'll help smooth over the game from not just being an outlet for pure mechanics and systems, but also a world to immerse yourself in. My ideal for a MGT v1.0 is a world you can visit and enjoy spending time within.

Changelog:

v0.5.0c (29th August):

Inorganic Deck has received a complete overhaul. I currently really like how it plays right now.

Overall:

  • The 8 Assembly Cards have been removed

  • Effects have been changed to give the player greater control over which cards are chosen and how they're fused

  • Fusion effects are now more generic instead of requiring such specific material to be prepared in your deck

  • Removed “if Combination Summoned” restrictions from the higher-Rank Inorganic monsters.

  • It is still a high commitment deck that struggles when falling behind.

  • Players still need to be careful, it's easy to misplay with this deck, it might have the highest skill ceiling.

New Cards:

  • Upgrade: Sacrifice 1 Rank 1 or rank 2 Inorganic Monster from your Hand or Field; Special Summon 1 Inorganic Monster from your Hand or Deck exactly 1 Rank higher.

  • Update: Choose 1 Rank 1 or Rank 2 Inorganic Monster you control; replace it with a random Inorganic Monster from your Deck exactly 1 Rank higher.

  • Super Fusion: Sacrifice any 2 Monster cards from your Hand or Field; Special Summon 1 random Rank 3 Monster from your Deck.

  • Snek Chassis: Rank 1, Power 21, Non-Effect Monster (Inorganic and Beast)

  • Assembly Scout: Rank 1, Power 6, when this monster is Summoned: Add 1 non-Effect Inorganic Monster from your Deck to your Hand.

  • Recycle: Special Summon the lowest-Rank Inorganic Monster from your Graveyard.

  • Salvage Cache: Return up to 1 Inorganic Monster and up to 1 Inorganic effect Card from your Graveyard to your Hand.

  • Erika, Robotics Mastery: New effect. Now summons Synthia, Adaptive AI when summoned.

Other changes:

  • Erika is now a difficulty 8 deck.

  • Synthia Woodcutting: Fixed an undefined key lookup that prevented wood cutting and the day advancing

  • Duels: Increased the font size of card preview text. Using the scrollwheel while selecting a card will scroll long card texts without having to move your mouse onto the preview itself.

  • Duel Chests: Moved the bonus five spelunking achievements to the Gate section. If you've already opened it, the achievements will be waiting for you.

  • TCG: Made some improvements to some Insect Effect cards

  • TCG deck rules: Updated the “exactly 30 cards” rules text to 30-40

  • TCG Card: Dancer Zela: Nerfed slightly and effect cleared up

  • Crops: Grow buttons are now hidden when the player cannot afford their MP cost.

  • Velvet Anal: Scene Replay now enters the complete original scene instead of the CG

  • Synthia Portal Power: The assignment now requires completing Velvet’s portal assignment and unlocking the Portal Chamber, rather than merely unlocking the basement.

  • Product Master perk is now required to equip the Snow Leopard's Blessing and Venator's Seal. This requirement is now listed on the blessing.

  • Fixed Riptide Wash not correctly targeting Field and Continuous Effects

  • Tweaks to the save file recovery system

  • Fixed an issue where leaving Spelunking after the tutorial prevents saving.

  • Typo fixes

v0.5.0b (26th August):

  • Attempting to buy meals with a custom input no longer crashes the game

  • TCG Card Preview input is no longer hover, but now click controlled. The selected card is also highlighted.

  • A specialized 'save saver' has been added which is de signed to fix old, potentially broken saves that relied on content in older versions of the game that has been updated (for example, saving on an old, deleted UI element). This won't work if the save was made during the intro of the game.

  • Masterwork Blade: Only the equipped Monster receives the second attack.

  • Basement Machines: Insufficient stock no longer displays Upgrade Machine x0 or a zero-cost purchase.

  • Lexi: Corrected one nametag from Lady (la) to Lexi (le),

  • Main UI Fix at larger sizes

  • Typo Fix

v0.5 (25th August):

Major:

  • 3 New VIPs: +3 Sex Scenes, +6 HCG

  • Monster Girl Trading Card Game: Monster Girl Tavern's third and final minigame into a gigantic 413 card TCG, which transforms the world map into a gauntlet where you have to fight characters from around the world to advance.
