Progress Report
As some of you may know, Aura Clash originally released its WIP (chapters 1-4) on Halloween. Because of that, Halloween has always had a soft spot in my heart for releasing updates.
And I always miss them.
This time's the same.
I missed writing for almost all of a 3 week period I had planned to triple down on writing (ended up tripling down on work/family events). As such we're currently at 220k words and still have to wrap up a few things. One user jokingly said Christmas and it might not be a joke.
I made my own joke a few months back that we need to overthrow anon over this, which gave me an idea I followed through on.
I've finished the beta for the Aurillian Framework's modding system.
The modding system I've setup is not a quick page to buff stats or edit saves, it's about content. I've rebuilt the engine to allow anyone to write their own quest mods and for people to load those mods into their game. It will give people a good chance to practice the Aurillian Framework and enable more content to come out in the future between my updates.
More importantly, I've setup the engine, mod framework, and even the game so that multiple mods can be loaded at once. I'll be dropping "Modding" instructions with the update and the jyst is, so long as the mod adds its quest through a "Hub" page like the chapter 2 or 3 instance where you have months to spend, or the Nanhou city districts where you have days to spend, or the Questing Board I'm adding this chapter in the port district, you can run as many quest mods simultaneously as you like.
On top of quests, the mod also allows for overwriting any passage you wish. If you wanted anything to go differently in the game, it's now going to be loadable as a mod you can write and share with anyone. My end goal is to have these automatically work when people upload and subscribe to them on the steam Workshop whenever we publish.
Naturally I can't promise anyone actually writes any mods, but I have faith and, just for fun, I remodeled the way the game loads images so you can change the character portraits using a mod too.

Pushing the boundaries!
nice
Its great to have modding but what about a set max amount of ability cores and skill cores. Max aura and bank account of all currency denominations. Max relationships and helping them farm aura and rank. Added on to jade dragon cheat mode. Is that possible? Or is that more create a modd? Because I would argue its better as jades feature cheat.
Moddable IFs...I can't believe our Anon is at the forefront of the future.
i wouldn't read that long ass text but that sounds mega cool (above really and super)
That sounds really cool!
YOOOO. Thats is a super idea. I was thinking about something like that much more like dlc’s than mods but mods are even better.
