The Shark Girl Is Moving, and We Are Choosing Scenes for New Art

Remember the Shark Girl Inquisitor from the previous post? The stern boss you chose for Journey in the community vote?

She is no longer just standing on concept art. She moves, breathes, and looks ready to bring her own shark-flavored order to the battlefield.

Making the Midgame Richer

While the Inquisition stretches its fins, we have shifted the team's main attention to another important task: making the middle of the game feel visually richer.

The goal is simple: the middle of the game should feel more alive, not just longer.

We are looking for scenes that need a strong visual accent. We do not want to draw “just pictures” for the checklist. We want to add art where it actually strengthens the moment.

Vote and Suggest Scenes

On Patreon, we are launching a poll for the character who should definitely receive new art.

And just as importantly, we want your suggestions in the comments: which specific scenes, dialogues, or quests in the middle of the game made you think, “this needed an image”?

Good art takes time, so the poll winner is not promised for the nearest patch. But we will use your ideas while planning the next art pass.

Now that I've played the new update of Audrey's romance, I must add that maintaining the consistency of her shyness makes her even more engaging and cute! Before the steamy scene happens, maintain this side of the character and try to make her open up as naturally and coherently as possible! I must say that the last scenes turned out very well in my opinion because of this "natural shyness and cuteness" of the character in the more intimate scenes. I suggest not forcing an NSFW atmosphere or scene without continuing what you're building! Of course, the NSFW scene is the most anticipated by all of us, but I think maintaining the character's development will make it even better!

For Audrey, I suggest something strongly linked to her eccentric and hyper-focused personality, but without losing the underlying emotion! I laughed a lot when the protagonist lost his clothes and she said, "By the way, you're in great shape... I'd love to do some endurance tests on... you know, for science" (something like that). Maybe that could become a reality on some level? Without losing any sense of shame or desire involved, but with inventive curiosity as well! Who knows, maybe accompanied by her comedic mishaps? I would avoid something obvious, cliché, and predictable like: an experiment explodes, clothes are lost, and the urge to have sex arises out of nowhere. I would go for a gradual build-up within the quest(s). Perhaps her feelings and intentions have ulterior motives from the beginning, and she masks them "for science" and then admits the desire shyly. Or better yet: she didn't seem to have ulterior motives at the beginning, but her experiment was questionable in a "hot" sense, and curiosity transforms into desire! The idea is not to lose the character! For us to feel that it's Audrey in the scene, she has to be expressing Audrey, taking her development into account as well!
