Classic Mini: TurboGrafx-16 Edition (Android/Google TV Edition)

This is a beta release that I have only tested on the latest Xiaomi Mibox.

🔰 IMPORTANT: RetroArch Requirement

You MUST use the official build from the RetroArch website (don't use the playstore version):

1. Download and install the official RetroArch APK on your device:

   Download Official RetroArch for Android (Recommended 32bit universal build)

   (If you have a 64bit device like Nvidia Shield Pro: Download 64bit Build)

2. Open RetroArch on your TV device once:

   Allow the "All files access" (Storage permission) when prompted.

   Go to Main Menu > Online Updater > Core Downloader.

   Scroll down and download: NEC PC Engine / CD (Beetle PCE FAST)

3. Settings > Input > Hotkeys > set your favorite combo (L3 + R3 or Start + Select) so you can easily return or save games.

4. Go to Online Updater and update the Controller and Assets database! (don't skip this step!)

🔰 How to Add Games & Box Art

You can use a USB drive or your device's internal Download folder.

You need to create these folders in the root or inside the "Download" Folder:
ROMS
COVERS

INSIDE "ROMS" folder
Create a new folder, name it: TG16 <-- Place your Card games here (.pce or single file .zip)
Create a new folder, name it: TGCD <-- Place your CD games here (.chd or .cue)

INSIDE "COVERS" folder
Create a new folder, name it: TG16 <-- covers matching your game filenames (.png or .jpg)
Create a new folder, name it: TGCD <-- Covers matching your game filenames (.png or .jpg)

🔰 Launching Classic Mini TG16

1. Install Classic_Mini_TG16.apk on your Android TV and accept/give the permissions when asked.

2. Plug in your USB drive (remember the folders/files according to the instructions above)

3. Open Classic Mini TG16:

   All games and box art will appear automatically on the console shelf!

   Use D-Pad Left / Right to scroll through games.

   Press D-Pad Up to toggle between All Games and Favorites.

   Press D-Pad Down to open the Alphabetical Jump bar.

   Press A / Select to launch your game directly into RetroArch!

IMPORTANT

• This is a new app and I am not a registered Google Play developer, so you may see warning messages during installation.

• You must install the standalone RetroArch APK (don't use the playstore version), or you will not be able to launch games.

• This release has fewer customization options due to restrictions of the Google TV system

• This is a test/beta release. Depending on user feedback, I may or may not support additional consoles.

• For the best experience, connect your gamepads using a cable to minimize input lag (which is common on these TV boxes)
