What source is this using?
I'ts using all the filter logic already in place from MyRD (the rom downloader app I created some time ago), it allows this new cleanning tool to create custom sets from any set you download from the internet (Minerva or Internet Archive for example).
Hey eXoDus, this looks like a fantastic piece of software! Thank you for developing it for us Out of curiosity, does it also have the ability to rename ROMs so they are consistent with the current no into our Redump dat sets? Kind of like what was available on Myrient? I have always struggled to curate my ROM sets to be consistent for cloud saving through Syncthing or art scraping for front-end software I know there is software out there that can handle this sort of process, but it's difficult to operate and hard to get consistent results. It’s super frustrating! A piece of software that could handle this is my number one collection priority, and I would pay a premium to have something like this developed, especially if I could get it to work with my NAS, where I have the storage space to create duplicate sets
Hey, sorry for the delay. As you pointed out, it's tough to get perfect results (which is why the existing tools are so hard to use). It's not just about renaming; you also have to factor in checksum verification. Building a single piece of software that handles everything without making mistakes is kinda complicated, I'll check some DAT files to see if something can be done, if you have ideas for the workflow, the input and expected output, let me know! BTW, did you check out the cover renaming tool I uploaded a few days ago? That might at least help with renaming the artwork.
