If You Enjoyed Darren Mooney's Writing...
then you'll want to be signed up to the $10 tier...
Darren's writing on The Escapist was a huge source of pride for us and we want it to continue and be supported directly. He's legitimately one of the best film / tv critics on the internet, and is an absolute encyclopedia of movie knowledge.
If you've read his work before, you already know this, but if you haven't, you're in for an absolute treat. While we don't have plans for a website, we want to continue making sure he gets to write for us, along with making a new video series with Omar in the coming weeks.
In the Frame never got the attention it truly deserved back on The Escapist YouTube channel, and we're super excited to give his work a Second Wind here. (That worked out, eh?)
We're going to release a new article once a week on Friday's right here on Patreon as an additional perk to our $10 tier going forward to sweeten the deal even more.
If you haven't read his work yet, you're missing out. Go check it out here: In the Frame Archives - The Escapist (escapistmagazine.com) and don't worry about giving The Escapist traffic, his articles deserve it.

This is why I really love you guys! The support and admiration you show for each other goes before everything. Looking forward to get more Darren in my life! Now, go to bed Chief Nick.
If I wasn't already at a high enough tier, this would be reason enough for me to upgrade.
P.S. Please can we get the Yahtzee and Darren Dr Who discussion stream :D
Extremely happy this is happening. A suggestion for the column - maybe add newsletter-style shorts at the bottom that direct people to some of the bes twitter threads Darren has done in the past week. His watch along threads are great, and given you have more freedom about how to format it, why not use it to highlight them. I dunno if Darren would want to be this regimented, but if Darren knew he was watching and tweeting along to a particular film over the weekend, he could even give advance notice of a watch along, or do it here or on the discord, to make it more of a community thing.
> He's legitimately one of the best film / tv critics on the internet Darren's legitimately one of the best and most insightful critics, full stop. He's easily worth the $14.50 Canada-bucks alone!
Think this should be We're going to release an In the Frame article once A week on Friday's ;)
Unfortunately we don't own the brand of In the Frame anymore, so we'll sort out what it is next!
Really happy to be here :) But which one is the $10 tier? I imagine it is the Credit & Sponsor-Free because I see all tiers in my local currency, so this would be the one that makes sense.
Yes Credit and Sponsor-free.
This makes me peeved. The $5 I already went with is more than I pay for any other Youtube channel. And now this -- it feels just like all those toxic FOMO-dependent Kickstarter campaigns. Tempted to cancel the money altogether.
We like to add things to our tiers quite often, we try to make each one very much worth your money. As we said before, the Patreon wasn't even ready to launch when people found it, so we're still coming up with things to add in to make each tier fun.
I absolutely love Darren’s style and analysis. I’m upping my membership right now.
Who dat, I'm just here for the support. I was there when James Stephanie Sterling left the escapists, and I'm here for you guys.
He is a film critic that whose style I would describe as grounded and affable. He mostly wrote about franchise stuff for Escapist. I am upping my membership for it.
just upped my membership for this specifically. easiest decision of my life!
Now I'm even happier to have gone up to the $10 tier - Darren's writing is fantastic.
Loved Darren’s work so this is all just music to my ears. Even more glad to be at the $10 tier now
