This is, uh, pretty bad... depressingly so; shows the morally bankrupt character of this "ruling" class and I fear that as Jan 2029 draws near; our cheeto lord will become more and more desperate to hold power. I don't have the skills to endure in such an environment so I'm trying to learn them before that year comes; cheeto's approval rating needs to drop to 20% before the cheeto congressional zombies will turn on their master, it is what we need to end this nightmare, but I'm not sure that is going to happen.
Good job Tetris for standing up for yourself. Yet another reason why Tetris is, objectively, the greatest game of all time. 😜
I don’t think the government trying to impose values on its citizens through propaganda is necessarily a bad thing. Most kids media is propaganda to encourage sharing and being kind and all that. My issue (well, I have a few but we’ll stick with just the one for now) is that I tend to disagree with the ideals being pushed. Even disregarding any moral aspect, the ideals that immigrants are “bad” for the US is not backed up by real-world economics. Also, if you’re gonna do propaganda, do it right. This shit is just pathetic.
Propaganda: "the deliberate spreading of biased, one-sided, or misleading information to shape public opinion and promote a specific cause or political agenda". Encouraging kids to be kind and share may be *moralizing*, it may be *preachy*, but it's distinctly not pushing a political agenda, or based on lies or cherry-picked data -- propaganda is a different category.
This administration is trying to exhaust us emotionally. It has no respect for the laws they claim to uphold.
I think this is what Ghostbusters afterlife was a test to see if people would praise nostalgia slop
did you think something from the US government would have good intent
I remember when shit like this was on newgrounds but it sure did not have the darkness behind it this does.
There were always shitty flash games about shooting terrorists from 2001 onwards but there were just as many about beating George Bush to death, or even both. The shock jocks of the day weren't that fussy or polarized - the South Park approach, don't just punch down, punch everyone.
Very good video and nicely condensed. This topic deserves more time to explain why exactly it is so stupid yet dangerous. Just because this stuff doesn't hit mainstream level of acceptance, doesn't mean it isn't strengthening the belief of some of the idiots and normalizes it for others. As much as I like gaming and enjoy the diversity of people in it, we definitely also have a big enough subgroup of "Gamers" that are on the same wavelength as the Trump administration and try to exclude everybody else from "their" hobby.
