1:57 - Maybe I don't know how to be a trillion dollar company with inflated value, but if you need to close multiple mid-size studios to fend off a 3% "accountability margin", you're absolutely doing the same thing expecting different results. I know it's because of shareholders, but we *gotta* have some sort of public policy that says endless growth cannot be the goal of a board or stockholder once a company hits a certain revenue level. Because these companies aren't chasing just stability, they chase *growth* and if they shrink from a place of profiting a hypothetical 10 dollars to only 7 dollars over expenses, suddenly it's the end of the world and they'll cull 3 dollars of value from payroll to make up the difference. Every time. People love to reference the case of a Nintendo exec not taking a salary to pay employees in times of dire straits, but that is because it is or was a law that you can't cut labor to make those *profit targets* in Japan, the company actually has to be at risk of going under.

If only there was a company that doesn't chase specs and focuses on content and player experience.

Some of us have. We are doing our best to keep morale up and keep things going. We love games too, but many of these choices are by people far away from us.

I haven't watched this yet, but I already know. This crap is getting old. What good is the lime green Xbox if nothing is coming out for it?
