Diagnosis Murder made it overseas?!?
Fully Ramblomatic extremely weakly "rebellious" not-actually-indie rock track of the week: Defy Your Parents, Flip The Board And Cry by Cried The People (Several members of Cried The People would go on to form slightly edgier metal band Murder Catharsis and release the album We All Hate It And Also You before splitting up over "creative differences" and also the allegations)
This is mostly how I felt about the game with the sole exception that I didn't find the writing to be up to a generally good standard. I guess maybe for a video game in the collective oeuvre of video games where some of them are barely written at all, but for something that had to live and die on its writing I thought it was super bland, derivative like you said, and just really poorly structured. I didn't feel like we got any kind of moments of growth from anyone where as at least Ferris Buller had some kind of implied growth at the end. If you ever want to see someone who thinks they're sooooo smart while saying either obvious or very stupid shit about writing, watch the ted talk type of thing the creator did with IGN back in March about character arcs. Its the most "I've just learned about storytelling and I assume no one else I've ever spoken to understands the concept" ass talk.

I dunno. I’m sure there are some awful comments (this is the internet, after all) but I think the mods can be overzealous with the ban hammer. I’m pretty sure I got shadowbanned. That or none of the comments I’ve made in the last month or two have warranted a single like or reply from anyone. I wish there was a way to plead my case or even an explanation of why I received the banhammer.
I feel like Yahtzee deliberately mispronounces words to, I don't, make himself sound smarter? Here it was the name "Escher", as in M.C. Escher. And its not his accent because 1. I've heard plenty of people with similar English accents prounce words/name like this all the time with zero trouble. and 2. In the past when he's heard the correct pronunciation of words like "fillet" he's openly moked people for it. I would understand if it was a one time joke, but once you start listening for he, he does it all the time.
