This game passing the yahtzee sniff test is not what I expected! I might have to actually give it a go…

I think this might be the best example of a going in with low expectations but having a good time with a generally evenly executed game leads to a surprisingly satisfying experience. Also good to see a genuinely positive review not because they aren't usually, but because the game actually hit the marks with the execution. That is rare indeed.

If it were me, I'd only make Bond's Bluff Meter come back of he does a pointless but in character action, like order his specific martini or seduce a henchwoman. But I've never made a video game.

He liked it?.. honestly surprised I thought he would be bored by the fact it plays like basically every third person shooter released since like 2010, it was strangely wholesome just having a "nice" review.

Was watching someone play this, it's not really my thing but I was very impressed by the playable Rocky-style training montage. Such a simple idea but I can't think of another game that's done anything similar. Whether it's actually a good way to teach you how to play the game I'm honestly not sure.

Was… was that an almost completely complimentary review? On a prequel of a tie-in? Sweet heavens.

He hated it

So it's not just a Hit Man game with a Bond "skin"? That's good to hear. (And to be fair, Yahtzee deserved a break from ripping a game to shreds with his trademark wit, precision and penis jokes.)
