I loved this video, just the teensiest nitpick only because I'm a Gleeson family stan haha - it's "Bree-on", not "Brian". (I'm unabashedly in the Kylo Ren/General Hux fandom still even though the sequel movies totally crashed and burned with RoS... Anywho like a year before that episode of the Mandalorian aired, I'd joked on twitter with my fellow fans that if the show ever started to catch up with the sequel timeline, they should get Brían to play Brendol Hux since the character was clearly inspired by Brendon Gleeson but that Brendon would be too old to play him. Lo and behold!)

You must've been so proud of all of the puns you got to make here. Kudos to whoever did the text graphics too, they looked really good. All this talk about Jon Favreau primarily being interested in working with puppets and animatronics makes me wonder why he didn't push to be put in charge of any of the Jim Henson Company projects, or at least if he has yet and if it was just shot down so he could keep making Star Wars. I don't know if we need another Dark Crystal piece (even if I really enjoyed the movie and TV show) but giving him control over something like that might produce something visually interesting if nothing else. The Muppets had a reasonably successful pilot so I don't think it's out of the question to get more work from the Jim Henson Company. I'd certainly like to see more come out of it

Grogu is cute... but this felt like a really long episode out of a TV series, agreed. No where near the scope or breadth of any other Star Wars movie.

Thing about Dave Filoni, and while I've been saying this since the beginning but only now are people starting to see it, is that he isn't some master mind of Star Wars story telling because he has the loosest of confections to Lucas. He out right steals better ideas from the now Disney exiled Legends lore and tweaks it just enough to not legally be called theft, on good exempts. Gorada the Hutt for example is a Legends character who wasn't Jabba's son, but his own post Clone Wars crime lord that had an obsession with collecting illegal Jedi artifacts like their Lightsabers, as well as idolizing the Hutt Empire of old when the Hutts were a conquering race.

Is it a Hot Take to say Star Wars has been Content for Contents sake for a while? Lucas may have been a flawed storyteller, but he at least he was trying to say SOMETHING. Since Disney's acquisition, everything Star Wars has been "content with being content" with very few exceptions.

This is what Star Wars has become: filler. I'd be sad, but what more can I expect at this point?
