Pokémon Pokopia Is Ruining My Life

Pokémon Pokopia is a legitimate Game of the Year contender and something that has taken over Marty’s life in the best possible way.

Really loved the visual gag of searching through trash cans in Crow Country while talking about the current state of the internet. Also, I feel you as far as not being super creative. Took me a while to try to make something more "fancy" in Subnautica, but damnit, I tried!

From the tone and delivery of this essay, I feel like the word 'Ruining' could be replaced with 'fundamentally improving'. Great work as ever Marty

I always lose so hard at any multiplayer RTS game because I spend too much time feng shui-ing my base when I should be raising armies. Give me the option to build stuff in a game and I will agonize over the aesthetics, no matter how trivial.

I really enjoy when I can tell it's a Marty video just from the title. Great work Mr. Silivila!

Another Patreon notification where I can tell Marty wrote it before even opening the app. A testament to both how independent media allows individual writers' voices to stand out amongst each other's, and to just how severe Marty's Pokopia addiction has become.

I'm trying to play Monster Hunter Stories 3 and this. Each one sucks me in for hours on end. I really need to win the lottery so I can play them full time.
