The Horrendous User Interface of Hearthstone | Design Delve

Honestly, I don't have an opinion about Hearthstone or its UI but I love the background music in Design Delve! Especially around the 7 min mark, I could listen to this for hours. The brilliant observations about design that I can use in my day job are a nice bonus I guess.

Well I can’t say I’ve felt the urge to play Hearthstone but seeing the UI, cost and “only cards from the last two years” can be used in ranked has solidified that. And I wonder if that’s the point at this stage. The playerbase is there and know how to navigate it, and are presumably locked in after 12 years. Maybe new players are so rare they don’t consider it worthwhile investment at this stage? I will say, I imagine you don’t have any interest in Yu-Gi-Oh but I started Duel Links about 18 months ago and I’d be curious to know your thoughts on the differences between the onboarding process for new players.
