One helluva third act twist this week.
Wow, YouTube must be falling apart today. All these errors while trying to watch
So strange that it takes remnants of the bronze age to 'share culture' these days.
It's one of those things where it's ancient and yet well-known enough that there's enough of a distance for people to feel comfortable messing around with it, since there's not too many actual practitioners of Hellenism around these days. (Not that there's none!)
That heel turn gave me whiplash.
I'm so glad it was worth the wait 🤩
I absolutely loved Hades and played it to absolute death. That said, Hades now feels more like a prologue to Hades 2: an intro to the universe, mechanics, and characters that the second one expanded on without losing the charm of the original. Hades feels pretty linear, and Hades 2 feels like two intersecting paths. My only gripe is that they really need to fix Ares boons. Wounds is garbage compared to how amazing Doom was in the first one, and the plasma mechanic would be way better if the attraction radius to pick them up were bigger.
That's how a lot of good video game sequels go; the original serves as a proof of concept to get the premise working, and the sequel expands on that now the basic framework is in place and they know what works and what doesn't.

As someone who hasn't had time for the game yet I'm relieved to hear this. Also that credits roll joke is the cutest!
That is the most positive Yahtzee review I can remember, and deservedly so.
