Wrong question. It's more like "Do I have enough games to keep me busy until it goes on sale on Steam with a 75+% discount, if I even want it in the first place?" and the answer is "Yes.".

Pretty sure I paid pretty much that for TOTK but that was a one off. Still waiting for Odyssey to come down to a price I’d consider acceptable tbh, but until Nintendo learns what a “sale” is then my library will always be pretty focused.

I'm on Linux now (bye, Windows!) and I can still play 90% of my current Steam games. I really never wanted to pay much for games. Never got caught up with Nintendo to begin with.

I just discovered PC Game Pass and Ge Force NOW this year, I'm never paying full price for games again. I can wait for any other games to come down to a price I'm comfortable paying

I wonder if we are going to see a remake of Skies of Arcadia in the switch 2

Not Cyan!? This is heartbreaking.

Ya'll forgetting the Trump Tax, you'll be lucky if it's $80.

I am completely ready for $80 games, and will be treating them the same as $70 games. By not buying them.

You can also save a lot on hardware this way. I've never bought a game for more than 40 $ - and only the one I got on a sale exactly for this upper limit doesn't run on my laptop.

Good games don't need fancy graphics. Good is not the same as realistic or detailed. I was considering getting a Switch 2 until I saw the price tag and the new standard price for games. As long as Steam continues to have big sales, I think I'll stick with PC gaming.

At this point? I've got an entire backlog of games that I've been meaning to get around to; seems like the perfect time.

I'm a little concerned most people are underestimating inflation and tariffs here, and setting their price expectations too low by being surprised by this. MK8 on the Wii U in 2014 was $60. MKW is another entirely new game like that was (not like every version of 8/Deluxe sold since then has been). $60 in 2014 is equivalent to almost $81 in 2025.

LOL, pricing might already be outdated minutes before video was released.

And the pre-order date for Switch 2 has been delayed. Whooo boy.

Answer before watching: no Nintendo is selling hardware on par with the last generation To compete against systems that are at the tail end of this generation. At prices on par with the next generation. The switch 2 is the same price as a ps5. It's more expensive than an xbox series s. I was excited about this systems launch, id put aside 400 in prep for it. That direct killed any interest i had. Too late, too much, too greedy. I went from hopeful for the next system to hopeful it becomes the next wii u

The Switch 2 is $50 less than the PS5 in USD. The $499 deal includes Mario Kart World. Also we're in the middle of a trade war with Japan now.

I hope Nioh makes that list :)

I don’t even buy $60 games.
