love 40k, love SM2, absolutely zero disagreements in this review. Space Marines are both badass, and utterly, utterly stupid and funny. They are little plastic army men with chainsaw swords, you're not supposed to take them that seriously.
"I have one main question: am I supposed to think space marines are laughable or badass?" The answer: Yes Also the image you chose for the badass end of the spectrum was Commando? Have you seen that movie? Because it is the very embodiment of being both at once
I remember the World War Z movie quite well.
I'm still traumatized by how badly they managed to butcher the best zombie novel ever written.
...how do you know what cyanide tastes like?
Almonds. Gardening tip, some popular hedges and trees are full of the stuff. If you’re trimming them and smell almonds and/or feel faint, get far away from them and call an ambulance.
FWIW, 40K started as satire, and occasionally tries to remind us that it is satire, but wayyyy too many of its fans take is seriously and fail to get the "fascism is bad, okay?" message. So GW has to spend some of its time pandering to the fashy whales.
I was all Imperial when I started playing 40K many many years ago. Decades even, but I've found myself drawn ever closer to Chaos as I get older. And for Fantasy, I'm Skaven 4 Life. Not sure if that's totally relevant.
Glad sponsor-free is working again. RE: is Space Marine 2 ironic? I wonder if it's not so much made for 40k fans as it is for literal space marines
Should have the link to the playlist? If you don't, scroll back just a bit on posts in the Sponsor-free tier and you'll find it.
