Mega Man Legends Deserved a Thousand Sequels | The Archive
In this first episode of The Archive, Marty Sliva and Javed Sterritt head back to 1998 to revisit Capcom’s Mega Man Legends, including the story surrounding its development, how the gameplay holds up today, and digging into why it’s a shame that the subseries hasn’t continued.

This was such a good video. I had/have a lot of affection for the Legends games, though I never got my hands on a copy of Misadventures. Thank you for making this and giving Legends some of the love it deserves.
Having the editor do the ending credit talk is a good idea! Makes you remember each video is a team effort.
Nice one - interesting to learn about a series I've got very limited knowledge of 👍
Love the new series, feel I learned something today :D I never played Legends, always just heard it was Megaman’s weird blue 3D sheep but thinking about where it could’ve ended up made me think of a world where Platinum remained part of Capcom as Clover and Megaman Legends X was Vanquish. Skating and high-speed combat, an adaptive weapon and cheesy plot? Maybe that way either game would’ve seen a sequel!
I love this type of content almost as much as I love Megaman Legends, a series I am still salty about not getting it's 3rd installment.
How often will new episodes be released? I'd like a Dreamcast ep of The Archive. Power Stone and Crazy Taxi dropped my GPA by at least .5 One note Javed. The ending should've read "I can see why there is such a cult following for Marty" 🤡
We're treating The Archive as a limited series where we basically plan them out as a season, take a break, and then come back with a new batch of episodes. For now should be out every other week for the next little bit!
Great start to this series. Looking forward to the next one. I was never a huge Megaman fan despite playing all the NES games in my childhood, but this was presented so well, it pulled me in.
Absolutely fabulous video and a nice outro from Javed. Packed with detail and superbly edited. Really looking forward to this series.
It really did. Definitely remember thinking “What the hell?” when I first started playing it and actually put it down for a while, but then gave it a second chance and loved it!
