Found this out secondhand, but there's a quest line you have to resolve a specific way and that unlocks literally the second half of the game. And you know it's the second half because you actually get a second title drop and that time it's Dragon's Dogma 2. Which is pure madness and I kind of respect that.

I have always felt like Dragon's Dogma has all this potential which is patently wasted by the lack of difficulty, lack of decent story, and essentially having slave labor.

Also reminds me why I dislike most Isekai...

Loved the last joke. Having enough slots is vital!

It's been a while since a game made Yahtzee this angry

if your gonna moan about microtransactions can you at least be right about them yatzee is wrong that you can buy the item and is even wrong that they are limited

I don’t think the fact that there is technically some kind of arcane workaround to locking fast travel behind microtransactions is going to make the game good. Between Yahtzee & Steph Sterling, I’m quite confident Dragon’s Dogma 2 isn’t worth the hassle, it sounds like a chore of a game tbh.

The game turned me off the minute they decided that your CPU was a canvas to try their hand at an unoptimized relationship mechanic ala Yanderedev levels of coding incompetence.

It's one thing to make a game with some jank to it, it's another thing to have a janky game that undercuts the player's ability to *mitigate the jank* by having several save files. Just seems rude.

So how does saving at the last inn works exactly? It apparently doesn't take you back to the last inn you where in but one hours before? And that has something to do with autosave? That doesn't really make sense to me. If you can go back to the last inn that would be a sort of arbitrary second save slot the game keeps track of for you and then your regular save overwrites whenever the game autosaves. How does that translate into the game going "the last inn you visited is not the last one you visited but one you visited hours ago is instead"?

Uh oh, Disney's gonna get on your ass about the Yoda head.
