Love of Magic and A House in the Rift were 2 of the first adult games I discovered. This is also the rare list where I have actually played all of the games too. Definitely a tough call between Nature of Magic and AHitR for 1st.

Should probably drive home how much The Nature of Magic is punching way above its weight here given that much fewer people are likely to have played it going off of things like number of review scores, Patreon followers, not having a Steam release, and the like. If you did any kind of 'normalization' for those kinds indicators on that last poll, it would have been at least 3rd. The only things I can find with a comparable rating on itch are Ripples and Once in a Lifetime (and only Eternum above that). A lot of people are sleeping on TNoM (probably something to do with the dev's open disdain for marketing), and I can't wait to see if it blows up over the next year.

A lot of people just aren't ready for such a mature story where they actually have to read all the lore and world building. It's such a good game though for people into that, but it definitely feels different than almost every other AVN I've played.

I've replayed LoM several times, its still great. I haven't been able to get into any of his other games though. The Nature of Magic has been great, but that last chapter I just didn't like as much. I know not many agree with me, but I need a break from Cerys. For Foreign World, I am several chapters behind and I keep putting off finishing it due to what I hear is a disappointing ending. If nothing happens with the girl from earth (its been so long I forget her name), then I will be bummed. I am looking forward to the devs next story though, hope its good.

The Nature of Magic (first) -- A House in the Rift (2nd but barely) -- A Foreign World (3rd close to 2nd) ----- Love of Magic have not played -- Lust Academy only played about half (still in list to finish - cannot rank)

Interestingly Love of Magic and Lust Academy are pretty polished, high quality productions, but I found them boring and didn't finish them even though I tried and played a bit every other week or month. They had a distinct character and nice art but not much soul and well, way too little action... And yes completed is always an entire * in plus for me.

Bah I haven't started any of these heh.

I enjoyed A Foreign World but the ending felt rushed, and the epilogue was disappointing that not all the ladies were featured well. Also a couple of characters that felt like they were going to be more were ignored. What was the point of the bakery woman, she had her own entry in the character list. But hey, it's completed, not what can be said for a lot of these games.

Yeah, I felt similarly to you. At least it completed, but what's better? A game still in development with a calculated ongoing plot or a rushed ending? IDK I would rather take the indevelopment one. personally

Super tough choice

Yep, why I need some of them broken up. I can't have 2 - 3 way ties
