Yea I feel like more questions are being raised rather than answered and USUALLY that means holes will be left in the storylines if they don’t fill them in and tie it all together perfectly which in 10 episodes they can do …but it would be nice to have some questions answered before 10 others appear lol. It’s harder to focus on the show when our minds are focused on filling in the gaps ourselves bc the show isn’t doing it for the viewers. It makes me anxious lol, but we still have plenty of time so we shall see.

No offense but It’s sad that the man in this series is more empathetic and mindful of how to treat a woman as opposed to the actual women lol. Damn I could never just sit there and take it like Key does. I know it’s just a show and I’m sure there’s a story behind it but I hope no woman ever changes who they are or lowers their worth just to be seen as valuable by another person🤌🏼

The full song at chanjay scene is now released on YouTube and streaming platforns. It's called Glitch, MV has emi and bonnie together. The whole song is incredibly good 👍🏻 and it can be interpreted as chankey storyline. 😊😊😊

Sun was like ' Anybody but Jay!' I have to agree honestly, cause it hard me sympathize with Jay. I understand the regret but she has got respect Chan 'No' at some point. I don't understand why she couldn't fight for Chan or least give Chan the chance to fight for them instead of leaving one day randomly. I am glad Key is fighting back, she is going to need to keep that grit. Honestly Chankey is two hurt folks trying heal each other.

Deanna Elliott · August 28, 2026

My assumption is that whatever happened with their mom had a big impact on Key’s self-esteem. She’s apparently blamed herself for her mom’s death since the moment it happened. Peach asks if it has something to do with Mae, and assumes that Key’s positioned herself as Chan’s sugar baby because she doesn’t feel WORTHY to try to be more to her. I think it’s a mix of low self-worth and maybe putting Chan on a pedestal for however she “saved” Key before.

A
Ascent · August 28, 2026

One thing to acknowledge is that, Key came up with the sugar-baby approach because she thought Chan was just guarded and wasn’t into relationships, she didn’t know about Jay and hurt…and now that she found out, her approach is more “I will make sure you only remember me”

someone made a very good but dark theory about Jay and how chanjay relationship was like in the past and I kinda agree with it https://x.com/between_stars/status/2092806213323182256

Let me preface my small criticisms by saying I am really enjoying the series. I think Bonnie is acting her ass off. Emi is showing how stoic yet vulnerable she can be. And Film is doing everything she can to make us want a ChanJay reconcilation... BUT, I love a good mystery, but I do wish the show was handling the 3 mysteries better a bit more. I know it is a 10 episode series so they have some time, but there are a lot of things up in the air right now. Obviously, why did Jay and Chan broke up, we are kinda getting there, we saw them together as kids and adults then the breakup but don't quite know why. I feel that will be revealed pretty soon. The mystery of Key's mom's death will come up, seems it dissappeared a bit this episode to make room for the Jay stuff. But the mystery of how Chan and Key knew each other before when we met them in Episode 1, and how Key already loves Chan this much. We all have made assumptions on how they knew each other. But this was such a big plot point in Episode 1, including the reveal that her tattoo is because of Chan. But then they haven't addressed it since. I am sure they will, but how does Chan not say "hey remember when you told me I was your first love and we knew each other a long time ago"? I mean if the person I am with says something like that I may follow up a bit. I know Chan is dealing with Jay coming back into her life at the exact same moment, but Key is a really intregal part of her life too now. Again, I love the actors, I like direction, I think the music is perfect, but I do hope some of these mysteries will start to be addressed soon.

A
Ascent · August 28, 2026

I see where you’re coming from… but Chan was only intrigued by Key. The moment Jay comes back, it’s completely logical that her mind, time, and effort would go toward the person she still has feelings for. There’s no way she’s sitting there thinking, “Hmm, I wonder what Key meant by that…” 😅 At this precise moment, all she needs Key for is her body. She doesn’t care about her story, her tattoo, or her feelings—not yet. However, in Ep. 1, Chan could entertain that curiosity. She could ask about Key’s tattoo and even ask why Key was in love with her, to which Key responded, “You need to remember that yourself.” The moment Chan actually starts developing feelings for Key, that’s when those questions will start to matter to her. That’s when she’ll actively seek answers because she’ll finally have an emotional reason to want them. So, for me, this is perfectly paced for a third episode. It flows logically with where Chan is emotionally right now. There’s a difference between us wanting answers because we’re invested in Key’s story and Chan wanting answers when she isn’t emotionally invested in Key yet. 😅

I'm sort of getting a Harmony Secret flashback from this show i think. Bit of a sophomore slump series imo. Like obviously Emi, Bonnie and Film are amazing performers, both individually and together. And i can see that after such a soft, romantic show like Us, it's probably good business and artistic sense to do something so completely different, to show fans a different side of them and to make sure they don't pigeonhole themselves in similar types of roles all the time (although, Film happens to be playing a character that feels quite similar to her other two; kind of stuck-up, hyper-confident on the surface, but tragic deep down. Would have been nice to see something new from her). Similarly to HS, though the characters are all kind of smug and aloof, always playing games, keeping secrets, hiding what they really know. It makes the plot feel a bit holey, and not necessarily in a curiosity-inducing way. It doesn't really endear me to any character. Even Key who is more overtly human, still becomes a bit tiresome in my opinion. Key knowing Chan already, and *being in LOVE with her* already, is less "what's going on, i have to know!?" and more just "What the fuck??? 🤨". Like, either Chan is suffering DEEP amnesia, or Key is kind of a stalker...? 😅 But it feels pretty unrealistic that none of the characters seem to be asking questions about that or investigating? And idk if there's a twist that can rectify that for me, short of some kind of Westworld shit 😂 The scene with Key and her sister was a nice break from all that. I hope it builds up over time and we see more emotion and authenticity from everyone. But i can acknowledge that while there are some technical and writing problems, a lot of the issue is just personal bias because this genre doesn't suit my personal taste. IDK i've been feeling a bit generally negative lately, life's been sort of shitty, so that's probably colouring my opinion too, and i guess this style of show, the power suits and secrets thing, just isn't my bag either. After a pretty long wait since Us, i'm a bit sad i'm not enjoying it as much as i know could enjoy an EmiBonny show. I'm not hating it, but it's definitely not going on to my top 20 GLs list any time soon, when Us was like, #3 of all time 😅 At least getting to watch with your reactions is more fun for me than watching the show in isolation 😂

Bee · August 28, 2026

I hope you start enjoying it soon. Since they revealed the secret early on (Both Key and Jay know about their competition), maybe things get settle for the better. But it will still be sad to see either Key or Jay (it will definitely be Jay) being rejected in the end. I will hate hate hate the amnesia plot or an interaction so fundamental to Key but Chan simply did not care to remember... However, I thought of this and it will definitely work for me... What if they met online? 2 strangers while Key is suffering from depression and using this mysterious friend as her only outlet? At some point, Key could have identified the person behind the online persona. Chan means moon so this will explain the tattoo. In time, they drifted apart, perhaps never physically having met. This, I will buy - it is so relatable.

OMG- another killer episode. I still have questions though. These 3 actors have really raised the bar on selling their characters. It’s like they just elevate each other with their style and skill. Jay/Film facial expressions are a script in and of itself. Her desperate sadness at the thought of losing Chan is heart wrenching. Key told Jay that you sometimes need to change yourself for the one you love. Isn’t that what Key is doing? There’s a whole story yet to be told behind that belief. Jay didn’t buy it. Emi/Chan on a continuous emotional roller coaster - shes got to be exhausted. The last scene sure does show how tired she is and just wants to be looked after right now. I can’t say enough good things about this show. Seems like forever until next Wednesday.

B
Bee · August 27, 2026

Interesting episode, I liked it but with a few odd bits I picked up... - Anyone would hate to mention/talk about their ex in front of other, foreign people. Isn't it odd how Sun talked about Jay with Chan, Key by their side, literally the next minute she met Key? If it was my sister, I'd straggle her for bring the ex drama up next to new 3rd parties. The writers could easily have Key leave the room and have her eavesdrop - same impact, more realistic. - Now that we know a lot more about Chan's state of mind, I wish the past two episodes were crafted differently - the situation right now feels weird with Key proposing the sugar baby status. How about this kick off? Wouldn't it be better? Sun pressures Chan to try to forget Jay - Chan hooks up with Key for one night - Key asks for a second time/date and gets denied - They came across a second time and hook up again - With Sun's pressure and kind-of enjoying the company, Chan proposes a sugar baby state to keep it spicy and light - Key agrees because she wants Chan at any cost and/or capacity The Simba domesticity was unnecessary and forced. As everyone asks... Where is the cat now? 🙂 - I could not relate to the discussion where Jay enters Chan's unit to find her with Key. I don't think Chan introducing Key as her 'sugar baby' is realistic. Everyone wants to save face against their ex'es, especially if they are dumped. IMHO, in a real life situation, she would either say "it's none of your business", say nothing to create the air of mystery or simply say they are gfs. While I enjoyed the face off scene, it could have been created better. - Meesh... You kill me girl... "Bambied her"???? That's hilarious!!! Loving it so far, I hope they do tie the loose ends properly. Because JayChan won everyone over. I don't think any of us is wondering why Chan is still stuck with her ex. The lore, the story, the chemistry is cooking...

I think your “perfect scenario” removes a lot of the baggage and trauma these characters are carrying. The beauty of the story is that we’re given the what first and slowly uncovering the why as we learn more about them. The apartment scene actually shows Chan’s conflict perfectly. She’s still in love with Jay but intrigued by Key, so she minimizes Key as “just a sugar baby” to Jay, then immediately turns around and reminds Jay that they broke up and that she has no right . She’s contradicting herself because she’s conflicted. And the “in real life” argument doesn’t really work for me—it’s fiction. Characters are allowed to be messy and irrational, especially when that’s the point. We’re only on episode 3 😭 and the way they just peeled back the layers of Jay and Chan makes me excited to see how they reveal the rest.

At the end? It's Bonnie's ost. There are five songs total for this show: EmiBonnie - Red Kiss (a Riser single) Emi – Glitch Bonnie - Your One EmiBonnie – Moonkey EmiBonnie - Temporary or Overnight Forever (cover song) The only one released so far is "Red Kiss." We’ve heard all the songs in the show except for "Moonkey" (I believe), and they’ve performed "Temporary or Overnight Forever" a few times already.

A round of applause for all of the 3 leading girls in this episode cause they really killed it in the acting department, especially Film! Ughh, how could you say no to Film’s pleading boba eyes like I too would go back to my ex if it was her. This episode went from me rooting for SunJay (enemies to lovers troupe) to ChanJay too. Now the drama starts! Key vs Jay has officially begun but I admit, I’m a little sad for their potential friendship to be over. It was so cute but I guess one has to come out top and I have a feeling Key will be the “key” into healing Chan’s heart

J
Jess West · August 27, 2026

I think what pulls me into the characters the most is the way Emi, Bonnie, and Film all portray vulnerability so well. You genuinely feel for each character, regardless of whether they are right or wrong. Their ability to convey that emotion just breaks my heart for their characters. It's like I literally can feel my heart squeezing in my chest. 💔 Excellent episode, no notes. Wish we didn't have to wait a week for the next one.

t
theartkid · August 27, 2026

What I gather is: Key's mom is a mistress and Key loves Chan so much that she's willing to be a mistress just like her mom for Chan as long as Key's by her side. Like Key told her sister that she is not confident enough to be in a relationship with her and will take whatever she can just to be close to Chan. Not just that, in the special episode, Bonnie talked ablout how intimidating Jay can be and how it comes up as a yardstick for who fits better with Chan. I think it's a hint that Key feels her status as a mistresses daughter can be one of the factors that reduces her self esteem. The sugar baby status is one she feels is befitting of her (Key), so that's all she can probably offer, or what she thinks she can offer. That's why she tells Chan that it doesn't matter if she doesn't love her back, and also why she says that as long as she can see Chan smile, it's enough. That selflessness and submission is all she thinks she can offer for Chan to be by her side.

J
Jess West · August 27, 2026

I agree I've been theorizing something pretty similar to this.

L

Key needs therapy from this self-abandonment and start loving herself because belittling herself ,saying ily, changing herself for someone who’s in love with another person is saddening no matter how much you love a person you should never devaluate yourself and erase and change your personality to fit someone else's preferences.

Episode 3 „Can’t fight the Moonlight“ starts right where we left off last week, as Sun met Chan with Key. Chan tells Sun to say what she wants to say, but Sun wants to enjoy the moment and asks to get to know her girl. Key just smiles at Chan as Sun tells her to take good care of her sister, arguing that she can be stern, hotheaded and irritable sometimes, but she’s actually a sweet person. Key claims that no matter what she’s like, she can handle her. Sun claims that Key has the confidence and likes her and argues that this is the kind of girl who can handle her, and she has her approval. Key thanks her for it and claims she will do her best. Chan argues that Sun should leave, but Sun tells her not to try and get rid of her. Chan wants to know what she wants to talk to her about, and Sun claims to see her today because she wants to talk to her about Jay, whom she thinks she wants to get back with her. But she doesn’t want that to happen, and wants her to promise her that she won’t get back with her. Key looks at Sun as Chan argues that isn’t she hurt enough because of her, and Chan wants her to stop talking about Jay, but Sun won’t stop, she argues, as she doesn’t want to see her falling apart again. Chan tells her she should leave again, and Key should as well, as she wants to be alone that night. She gets up and leaves. After the credits, Jay checks has checked into the Crescent and gets a drink from the staff who asks how long is she going to stay and she replies indefinitely. The staff claims that it’s their pleasure and leaves, as Chan comes in and asks what she is doing there, and Jay just claims to try out her hotel service, arguing het hotel is the best. Chan thinks she should stay at another hotel, and offers to arrange it for her, but Jay just says no to that offer and will stay there. Chan doesn’t know what she is planning, but argues that it’s not going to happen. Jay gets close to Chan and claims she that can’t run away from her and that she is going to get back with her, arguing that Chan and her can never really be over. Chan asks her not to cause a problem at her hotel, and Jay claims she isn’t there to cause a problem. She stays there because she wants to monitor the restaurant to make sure everything is in order. Chan asks if that is all, and Jay nods. Chan accepts that lie, welcomes her to the Crescent and leaves. Next, Jay meets with Phu, who thinks she is coming on a little too strong and makes Chan uncomfortable. But Jay claims he knows her well, and argues that she will never get her back if she doesn’t do this. She claims that from now on, she will discuss all the details of the restaurant opening with Chan, and tells her to just set up a meeting with her for her. Phu claims that it’s also his restaurant and wants to attend the meeting as well, but Jay just says sorry, claims he doesn’t need to attend it and tells him to just make the appointment. Then, she tells him to leave, and Phu claims he will pay her back as soon as possible, and when he pays her back, he will not help her with Chan anymore. If Chan refuses to get back with her, he wants her to move on. But Jay claims that she will make her love her again as he leaves. Chan thinks about Jay at work and has trouble focusing. She thinks back at high school where Jay and her kissed over a water dispenser, and Jay thought she liked boys, but Chan claimed it’s because of her that she realized she liked girls, and Jay asked her what if one day she would change her mind and liked a boy. But Chan claimed it would be okay, as long as she liked her back then, that’s enough for her. (Is that what happened?) Chan tells herself that it’s time to move on, and not to be a fool. She calls Key and asks her to come see her. At night Chan and Key arrive at the hotel and Key thanks her for buying her an entire new wardrobe, but Chan claims she doesn’t need to thank her as she is her sugar baby. Key claims it’s too bad that the store didn’t sell any nightgowns, but Chan thinks she doesn’t need them and Key agrees. Chan calls he a perv, but Key claims that Chan was changing her fashion style, and argues don’t her nightgowns need to be changed too? Chan thinks she should go to work and argues she’ll be late. Key wants to know if Chan isn’t going to watch her sing at night, and Chan claims she has reached her limit of spending time with people for today. Key asks where she should put the clothes and Chan offers to take them to her condo first, with Kay arguing that she can move in with her, so she doesn’t have to take them back to her home. Chan just tells her to go to work, Key thanks her so much, claims she had a great time that day, kisses her on the cheek and leaves. Chan thinks about her and smiles… … as Key performs “Red kiss” at the bar with Jay in attendance. After the performance, her band mate praise her for being so dressed up that day, and Key claims that someone bought her that dress. They think that she never lets anyone tell her what to wear, and think she is serious about her, but Key just tells them to stop teasing her, and asks them whether their partners are looking for them. They want to talk more about her new crush but get called by their partners, so they leave her alone. Jay claims that she’s a talented singer as she approaches, and Key tells her to take a seat which she does claiming they run into each other quite often as she said. Key claims they should tell each other their name, but Jay likes it that way, and Key claims she likes things to be mysterious, with Jay arguing that it’s fun. Key asks if Jay is afraid that she will fall for her, but she claims she isn’t and asks the same question back at her. But Key claims that she already has someone she likes, and asks her if she also has someone. Jay confirms it, but claims that there’s a problem: she’s really mad at her arguing that it’s her own fault. Key proposes she try and make up with her, and Jay claims that she is trying, but that it’s very hard. But Key claims that if she can’t move on from her, she needs to do everything so she can go on with her, even if that means to change herself, she needs to do it, so she can be with her. Jay thinks changing herself might be a bad idea, but Key argues it’s the price she has to pay, and argues that sometimes, for love, she has to do it. Jay likes what she says and gets it now. Key tells her to keep fighting as Chan calls and tells Key to come up to her room. She excuses herself and leaves with Jay saying good luck to her. To herself, Jay asks Chan to give her another chance. Key goes up to Chan’s room, and after a while, Chan comes out of her bedroom wearing a nightgown and blinds her with her hands, claiming she caught the little perv. Kay asks what she is going to do to her now that she has caught her, and asks if she should take a shower first, but Chan claims she still smells fine. She kisses her all over (but not on the mouth) as the door opens, and Jay comes in and catches them. She calls Chan, who then notices her and calls her Jay, and Jay and Key are shocked to meet each other again, as Chan asks how she got in. Jay claims to still have the key card as she acknowledges Key and Key learns that she is Chan’s ex. Chan asks if Key is her new girlfriend, but Chan claims that it’s complicated. Jay asks her what her relationship with Key is, and Chan admits that she’s just her sugar baby. Jay claims to Key that she knows now why she shouldn’t tell her her name, and argues that she doesn’t think they can be friends. Chan wants to know if she met Key before, and Jay claims that Key should leave, because she wants to talk to her girlfriend. But Kay argues that they broke up and asks what right does she have to tell her to leave, claiming Chan is no longer her girlfriend, but Jay argues that neither is she. Jay argues to Chan that they need to talk, but Chan argues that she has no right to tell her what to do, reminds her that they broke up, and tells her to leave. Jay excuses herself saying she’ll see her to Key, and Chan tells her to leave as well after Jay has gone, claiming that she has no right and reminds her of her status. Key leaves as well looking sad. The next day, Chan is thinking about calling Key, but decides against it. Her assistant Game comes in and tells her Phu wants to see her. Phu apologizes as he shouldn’t have asked Jay for help, but Chan isn’t mad about that, she’s mad at him because when he has a problem, he never comes to her. Phu claims he didn’t want her to be disappointed in him, but Chan claims that’s exactly what she is right now, and claims he needs to do everything to make Jay leave this hotel. But Phu claims Jay told her she needs to see her right now and gave him an ultimatum. He claims she needs to go see her, and argues she will leave only when told by Chan, but Chan claims she will not leave, never. Peach has lunch with Key and notices that she isn’t eating, she asks her little sister what is wrong, arguing that she’s looking so down. Key claims she’s okay, but Peach doesn’t believe that and thinks she lying, claiming she always avoids looking her in her eye when she does. She holds her face tightly until she agrees to tell her what’s really going on. Peach asks her why she cried, because she could see she cried all night as her eyes are all swollen. Chan meets Jay at the hotel and asks her to stop doing this, claiming she always has to get things her way, and Jay admits that she knows her well. Chan asks her to leave her hotel, but Jay won’t leave until she gets back with her. Chan wants to know if she thinks doing this will help her getting her back, but Jay takes her hand and claims that Chan knows she doesn’t care about methods, she only cares about results. She vows to do everything to get her back, and slings her arms around her, as she claims to really miss her. But Chan claims they broke up a long time ago and asks her not to do this. But Jay claims that she is back now, she came back to her and will never leave again, she promises. She argues that they will go back to how they were before. And we get a flashback of happier time, when Jay gifted the piano to Chan to show how much she loved her, and Chan promised to take good care of Jay’s piano, but Jay corrected her that is was their piano. Jay claims that Chan is her first love, as Chan remembers getting rings for them, but later getting back to an empty room with a note by Jay saying that she was sorry. Chan claims that it’s true that they are each other’s first love, but that for her, their relationship ended a long time ago. Jay sheds a tear as she claims she can’t accept it, she knows that Chan still loves her and she can’t run away from her feelings. She pleads with her to give her another chance and hugs her. But Chan is sorry and leaves her alone crying. Peach is shocked that Key agreed to be Chan’s sugar baby, she is worried about Kay, and think that dad and big mom will be crushed if they find out. Key pleads with her not to tell them, and Peach wants to know if she agreed to be Chan’s sugar baby because of mom, Key denies it, but Peach thinks she is lying and believes that she thinks she doesn’t deserve her. She claims that she and everyone else in their family feels that Key is very important to them. Key knows but doesn’t feel confident. Peach takes her hand and claims it’s okay, as Key asks what she should do about Chan. Peach tells her to fight for her, and argues that if she thinks she cannot move on from her, she needs to do everything so she can go on with her. (Where have I heard that before… 😉). She claims that Key didn’t do anything wrong and didn’t steal her from someone. If she thinks Chan is the one for her, then she should go for it. Later, Chan returns to her room to find Key has decorated it with many candles. She comes to her wearing a nightgown, and Chan rushes into her arms and starts kissing her everywhere (except on the mouth). And Key wants her to know this: it’s Key’s job to help her forget Jay and from now on, Chan will remember only her. Chan thanks her and apologizes for putting her through this, she asks her to hold her like this all night, and Key is happy to do it. Key tells Chan that she loves her, and claims that even though Chan still doesn’t love her, it’s okay. She claims that she will always love her and won’t leave her. Chan thanks her as she starts to cry, and Key kisses her forehead as Chan claims she is so sorry. And that’s where the episode ends. ___ That was an emotional episode with both Jay and Key clinging desperately to Chan, but I think that Key has the better chance of getting her than Jay, not only because they are the main characters, but also because Jay apparently hurt Chan deeply in the past. While we don’t yet know how Key and Chan are connected and what (I presume) Pin has to do with it, I’m interested enough to continue watching this well-acted drama, even as the setup feels a little too convenient and artificial to me.

Song Key sings at the bar is called Red Kiss, they actually released it through Riser Music as their 2nd single as a duet (EmiBonnie). MV is already out. My personal opinion. ChanKey is so tragically romantic. Two people being completely raw and exposed to each other and willing to go through the angst... through the agony together. Chan is completely aware of the fact that she is using Key and what she is starting to feel for her, she keeps apologyzing and yet she needs her. She admits that wholehartedly. She needs Key. And Key is being completely open to Chan, exposing her self fully and openly for Chan to take what she needs from her in every sense. As for Jay... I think... they are not a couple, but Jay still feels like Chan was hers, her property, to which she has the rights... to go into her apartment without permission, to question her, to manipulate her, to blackmail her, not to listen to her, to prioritize what she feels and wants over what Chan may be feeling or wanting or needing. Chan keeps saying 'no' multiple times in diferent ways and Jay doesn't seem to understand the 'no'. Regardless of is theres more to why Jay left her. She abandoned Chan. That is something monumentally bad to do. And it is also something so real. The fact that you are being left, abandoned, without knowing what happened, if you did something wrong, if you where not good enough, if... so much gets placed on the person who stays. Being abandoned is messed up. Then she suddenly comes back and expects Chan to just do as she wants. The reality is that they have broken up a long time ago. Jay has no rights over Chan's life to be acting this way.
