I know this is a stretch but I hope you can react to the bts as well or the ost mv. This is just me being greedy. I’m not ready for Us content to be over just yet.

This episode destroys me every time. I got into Thai GL last year after losing my parents. It was one of the only things that bought me joy at the time. My mum had breast cancer that had metastasised, meaning it had spread from the original source. So I knew what the word meant and it bought back memories. 6 months after she died, I lost my dad. One thing I have noticed on rewatching with you both is how slow this show is. I don’t say it as a bad thing, but with 12 episodes, they manage to slow the scenes down. It’s hard to describe, the pauses between sentences are longer and they use long silences a lot to convey meaning. The scene of Kawi and his tie tells you so much without any dialogue. It makes such a nice change to 8 episode series that often feel rushed.

Someone feed Bonnie 😂.

The stomach growl was real and they just improvised and kept going. There is a clip where they talk about that scene. So cute

This show has incredible depth and it feels the most realistic and true to life and it's so beautifully portrayed. From the writing, acting, cinematography, score. It's absolutely a work of art

If I had to describe this episode (and really the show in general) in a quick in a few words I would call it soft and heavy. It's about the different sides of love both the warm/soft and but also the sadness/challenges that can also be part of love. I highly recommend watching an episode of Enemies with Benefits after every episode of Us the Series. You will then have balance in your life! 😉

The stomach growl scene (product placement moment) actually happened and the girls' reaction is genuine. They improvised and went along with it, and they made it feel like it's a part of the script but it's not.. haha! It really shows how amazingly good actors emi & bonnie are. I'm really glad you're loving this show coz back when it was airing, it was so underrated. It gained more appreciation later on when more people started to get to know emibonnie. For me, US is one of the best GLs ever made and it's one of the GLs that I can rewatch multiple times and still enjoy it. Yes, there may be heavy scenes but there are so many light and fun ones that even though the heavy scenes are really heavy & heart-wrenching, you can still go through them. Also in my books, it has the best OST out of all the GLs out right now. I can listen to those 3 songs everyday and not get tired of them, in fact I have them on my daily playlist that I listen to when I'm about to sleep (everyone's fave is More Than Words by Emi, but mine is Kissin' Out of Dream by EmiBonnie & Between Us by Bonnie)

This is why I love *US THE SERIES* and why I don't think it can be compared to any other GL. It shows that there are healthier ways to deal with betrayal than seeking revenge, shutting people out, screaming, or running away. Sometimes the best thing you can do is remember that we're all human, and we're all in need of love, understanding, and grace. 🥹 That's why it'll always be my comfort show. Brooo. 🤍

This episode, along with the series as a whole is the reason why people connect with Emi/Bonnie so much. Yes their chemistry on and off screen is fire, but this show was just made so well and it made the audience notice. There have been plenty of GLs that I have seen that the GL chemistry is good but the story sucks or there is something wrong with the production, and then the actors don't really resonate with the audience for too long. I can name several just this year... But this show was a perfect combination of actors being damn good, writing, direction, music, cinematography and heart all rolled into one. I am again so happy that everyone sees Mim's acting in this. It proves even more how badly she was used in Girl Rules. She was given a role on that show that any GL actress could do, but not everyone can pull off a role like Nene. The complexity of being the villian, but also being loveable and strong is not an easy feat and she flys in this role. Love this show. Simple as that.

This show always messes me up man 😭poor grandma bua. I love this show so much. The conflict resolution is definitely much healthier than other gls and the relationships in general. It develops nicely.

US is something truly special. There aren't enough words to describe what this show makes you feel. It's no surprise it holds such a special place in so many people's hearts. You don't go through the Us experience and come out the same person. And yes, you caught it right, that stomach growl was real, and so were their reactions. 😂😂😂

Im so glad you mention it. Its not just about them being the greenest green flag, but its also the fact that... the story and the character de development is so on point. That it makes absolutely perfect sense for them to act that way. All the characters and their development is consistent with their personalities . And this at the time, was, if im not mistaken, the first time there was no over the top break up that pushed the main couple separate ways for the story. They actually became stronger together. Thats huge.

This episode gets me every time 😢. Straight up and complex sadness abound. As it has been said…each character/actor brings depth to their role that highlights the richness of the story. So many stories within a story. The music was so simple and warm. It created a lightness to the heaviness of what was happening. Some other stuff- Kawi and Rak = 😇😇 Kawi can never be gangsta Kawi- I don’t think he would/ could hurt a gnat. Oat maybe shouldn’t run a bar. Every time I see her she’s drinking a beer. 😳 there go her profits. I know a bar is a good place for secrets and reality to be shared but not so sure the owner/bartender should be drinking so much. Just saying 😂 Let’s move the tissue box closer to the screening location. 😂 Mim/Nene has been the key linchpin in the story. Her efforts throughout have slowly been pulling things apart and now the wheels have come off and more shit will happen. I want to commend the writer of this series for giving it the title of US —- it is so perfect. Every character, every family, every friend, every couple, every emotion every action and reaction are all US.

US is in the same world as GAP. When Sam and Mon visit the beach hotel, Sam gets a toothache. The hotel owner recommends PAM as a dentist.

Man, I'm with Dee: the cast is amazing! The acting is beautiful and the actors should be so proud of this work. It's nice to be able to watch it with M&D and our community.

Dokrak is the greenest of green flags ❤️😭 I think this episode is a great example of what makes this show one of the all-time top 5 best GLs ever made; there is just nothing that is less than excellent in the episode. The visuals are stunning, the music is beautiful and perfectly appropriate for every scene, the acting is, of course, stellar. But it's really the writing that caps it off. For instance, the fact that Dokrak immediately forgives Pam, and trusts that she really does love her, *could* have come across as unrealistic and cheesy. But it doesn't, because like you said, that is exactly what Dokrak's character has always been; kind, confident, and able to see through her own feelings and see the truth in others. There is absolutely precedent for her to be forgiving like that all the way through the show's writing. The writing doesn't just make everything easy, avoid difficult topics, or magically fix problems either. There is ALWAYS nuance. Kawi is a wonderful person, but he's depressed, and he has serious self-esteem issues that don't just disappear. Nene isn't just an unrepentant villain, she's a deeply wounded person who is lashing out at others, but the viewer can clearly see that she's not a bad person. Grandma is so wonderful, but she's diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. All these problems are real things that millions of people around the world see and deal with every day. There is so much depth and familiarity to all of the stories in the show. But it never feels stark or harsh, because it's always tempered by the warmth and love of the relationships we see, particularly PamRak. It's truly a step ahead of other GLs, it deserves all the praise 🥹
