Sync Guidelines

Our videos are edited in a watch-along format, which means you’ll need your own copy of the film or show to sync with us.

We will always count down 3… 2… 1… START — press play exactly when we say “Start” to stay in sync.

To follow copyright laws and give you the best viewing experience, our reactions must be paired with your own copy of the content. We take copyright very seriously, which is why we do not provide full uncut episodes or movies. Even if you see other creators doing it, that doesn’t make it legal — sharing full studio content crosses into a copyright gray area that we’re not willing to risk for our channel.

Here are some recommended ways to watch along with ease:

• React Sync (Recommended):

The easiest way to watch along is by using React Sync! Simply load our reaction, connect your streaming platform, and React Sync will help keep both videos aligned for a smoother, more immersive experience.

• Dual Monitor Setup:

If you’re on a PC, using two monitors allows you to keep the reaction and your show/movie visible side by side.

So the reason the servant committed suicide and what they mean by take the suspicion away from Ah Duo, is that if it was revealed that Ah Duo’s servants were responsible for Lishu’s attempted murder, some of the suspicion could’ve fallen on Ah Duo as well by association and her being their boss. So the servant committed suicide and left a note saying I acted alone, and then Fengmian admitted to her involvement, but again probably phrased it in a way that she acted alone. If they hadn’t come forward and an investigation had taken place otherwise, some of the suspicion could’ve turned to Ah Duo and even if she was proven innocent, her name could be tarnished. At least this is what I have taken from this. And when Ah Duo calls them stupid I think she is just frustrated because she thinks they did what they did so Ah Duo could keep her position as concubine, when nothing would’ve changed her leaving. And it could be that Fengmian said that to the servant girl, as she wouldn’t have divulged her biggest secret of how she accidentally killed Ah Duo’s son. Ok that’s it 😅

one thing about maomao, she's unreliable narrator. she figures something out and then immediately dismisses it and downplays her emotions as a survival instinct. sometimes you'll have to read between the lines when it comes to her.

Aight, Discussion breakdown for all the questions you asked: you are right. the servant found in the water suicided in order to take the suspicion off ah-duo, to pretend she's the one that poisoned lishu etc, but the truth came out anyway. that's why ahduo was saying it's all stupid in the end. @Meesh/Dee, the "secret" that FengMeng was hiding was that she accidentally killed the baby. As for what the servant who died thought, she might have thought that ah-duo's party was responsible for lishu's poisoning attempt... which is ... true, but unbeknownst to Ah-duo herself. So she yeeted herself into the river so that people think she's the one that did it all, and the buck stops with her, and it's not Ah-Duo that was involved (because she wasn't, but the servant probably didn't know that, and got convinced by FengMeng the lady in waiting to do it out of their love for their concubine). And in the end, because there were signs pointing to FengMeng herself, maomao gave her a solution to basically HIDE that she accidentally killed ah-duo's baby, to spare her the heartache, and to make it look like she did all of her conspiracies to try to keep Ahduo in the palace, exclusively, burying the lead on the whole baby and honey situation. and yeayyy the notebook is back! Dee called it with calling Ah-duo jinshi last episode and then said they look like siblings... but little did she know that she's accidentally stumbling on a plot line that she wasn't aware of :) that notebook with the family trees is gonna come in VERY hand. and yes, ah-duo was loved as a friend by the emperor and so instead of her being kicked off to go home, he arranged a close-by palace to the south to keep his friend nearby. It says a lot about the emperor's personality. In the end, you might have missed it, but they were going through all the people associated with the lady in waiting fengmeng, and maomao's kidnappers were found to be trade associates of hers, so maomao's kidnapping was unfortunately tied to people who knew fengmeng. Punishing anyone associated with someonen who was found to be a traitor, whether an associate or family member or the likes, it's part of the "cleanse" that they used to do back then. That's why jinshi is concerned at the end. The following is a clarification on some stuff with some hypotheticals in it. None of it is me trying to spoil anything because i'm rehashing what Meesh said in the discussion section, and i'm chosing my words carefully based on what we know NOW. As for Dr Luomen, him being punished and expelled probably saved his life or maybe it was arranged because he was smart and he would have found out that the babies might have been swapped based on their looks, which would mean that IF you were to assume that jinshi's ah-duo's son, not the emperess dowager (who kindly raised him as her known, whether she knew or not), then that means jinshi would be the son of the current emperor, not just a eneuch, and he might be the reason why Ah-Duo stayed as a concubine for so long when she can't have a baby anymore, even though she wanted to leave... it would have been to stay close to jinshi in the rear palace. And if FengMeng did the swap at Ah-duo's orders out of loyalty, and with Dr Luomen expelled out of the palace (he delivered the babies), then IF such a thing actually happened, then the secret just died with FengMeng when she got executed this episode. But there's LITERALLY no direct proof to any of this. Maomao said it all : it's probably just a foolish story born from her imagination and speculations. Whether any of this is true or there's more layers behind it, that's for you guys to find out, but you guys are taking good notes for now. Even though it's all speculations in MaoMao's head right now. There's no proof of any of this, and maomao's notorious to turning a blind eye to anything that she can't get proof or anything that might put her in the spotlight...and she'd rather pretend she didn't even get that intrusive thought lol. Dee calling Ah-duo a beautiful lesbian like Meesh SENT ME lmao.
