One Piece is insanely good at making you cry, and this is still the early on stuff. Also for clarification, its not that Luffy can't swim due to not knowing how, its because anyone who has eaten a devil fruit loses all their strength when touched by sea water (hence why buggy tried drowning him in sea water). Also something they left out in the adaptation and more hinted at, but Zeff and everyone at the Baratie absolutely loves Sanji's cooking, but Zeff and the rest agreed to always insult his cooking so as to try and drive him away so he doesn't feel trapped at Baratie due to owing Zeff his life. They're just too tough of guys to show their emotions to each other lmao. Also Oda (the original writer of One Piece) makes it a point to change their outfits constantly in the manga and most of the outfits that theyre wearing are based off outfits that were in the manga/anime.

Omg Meesh, you have no idea ! One Piece has SO MANY teary eyed moments haha it's crazy cause it's such a goofy, silly anime but the emotional high point are literally some of the best in all of anime ! I'm glad you guys are enjoying it so far :) Also another funny note, Arlong is actually pretty tiny here in the live action haha. He's easily double Luffy's height in the anime so his presence is more intimidating. You should ask your mods to send you pictures of each characters anime counterpart just so you guys can see the difference ! Dee, Luffy and Usopp are both 17, Nami is 18 and Zoro and Sanji are both 19. So yeah Luffy is the youngest and definitely acts like it lol

something that the live action doesn't explain very well is the sea's effect on devil fruit eaters. not only does the sea water take away their strength, but they also become hammers in the water which makes them sink.
The live-action format brings a little slower pace than the anime, which I think really serves this story. I'm enjoying my second watch of the series, as well as your reactions.
