It’s actually 2 farms, Rose and Din. And the vineyard of Wasu the bad guy. And they are not related to each other. In the old days, good friends like to arrange their kids or grand kids to marry each other so they will be even closer as a family

A small introduction about The Fire couple's background. The one who casts Fai (Fire cousin) would be Namneung while her partner is casted by Noey. They are both former member of a Thai idol girl group called BNK48 and was being shipped by their fans since then due to their friendship and chemistry 😊

So Din(Earth) is one of the 4 cousins. But she's not related to rose by blood. She calls him Uncle out of respect. She is a childhood friend of Rose, they both grew up together.

I watched for 4Elements FreenBecky so I might as well support the other pairs. But I gotta say I'm loving The Earth so far. Good plot. Interactions are not forced. Din and Rose have chemistry. Cinematography is top notch. I'm sat!

I also wasn't expecting this in The Earth , I was so shocked when suddenly they pulled guns at each other in the first 15min ! xD

If Uncle Thip and Mr Wasupol were brothers, their kids would be first cousins and the dads wouldn't be talking about an arranged marriage between them. I think there was an agreement between their two unrelated sets of parents for an arranged marriage between the two families. I've read that "Aunt' and "Uncle" are honorifics that people use when they're talking to someone more than 10 years older. I believe they use titles we’d consider only familial sometimes as honorific. Like calling close family friends cousins/aunts/uncles. The farm owners aren’t actually brothers. For example, I know Freen and Becky sometimes refer to their makeup/stylists as mom with their name. With that said, I’m not Thai, so if anyone here is please correct me if I’m wrong. Excited for episode 2!

Just to clarify something Freen’s character LOM /VAYO IS IN ALL OF THE FOUR ELEMENT SERIES. EARTH WATER AIR (which is her story with Bec) & FIRE as I said AIR IS HER & BECS (BLEW) story It seems that the main couple in each of the elements are shown First in the Credit so. DIN & ROSE. Then the cousins NAM(Engfa) LOM/VAYO (Freen) & FAI AND I BELIEVE ALL THE STORIES ARE DIFFERENT BUT THEY ARE INTERCONNECTED and can’t wait for your next reaction of the TLP

I don't know too much about 4 elements since I haven't read the book but I am loving this series already

They use Uncle/ Auntie like how Filipinos call their friends parents Tito/Tita.

As for the family tree, the lady with Rose in New York is her Aunt (her mom's sister). Rose is an only child, there's nowhere in the novel that implies that she has cousins so it's safe to assume that her dad didn't have siblings & the Aunt didn't have children. As for Din, the only relatives implied in all 5 books are her cousins+partners and her father's brothers+wives. so, no mention of relatives in her mother's side of the family. If I find the tweet with the family/friends/connections chart for all the characters in all the novels, I will share it with you. hehe..

I don't know much of the Thai language, but based on what I know so far, they use terms/prefixes to refer to elders like for Pinoys, we refer to our parents' friends/acquiantances as Tito/Tita or Uncle/Auntie as a sign of respect. But in context to the series, Mr. Wasupol & Rose's Dad arent related, but their fathers were bestfriends. They had made an agreement to have their children marry each other. Unfortunately, they both had sons so before the grandparents passed away they set up an arranged marriage for the grandchildren (Wasu & Rose). But as you've seen in ep1, Rose's dad dont want to honor their fathers' agreements because Mr. Wasupol is shady as hell. But more than that, he don't want to force Rose into something Rose didn't want.

Bad guy dad is not his blood brother. Just another case of families knowing each other for years. Din's father is same actor as Tawan's father in Only You. So glad series is starting off well. Since ENGLOT may be separating as a couple soon, I hope all is successful. Thai GL coupledom is getting a bit rocky since IDOL imploded.

Don't like quote me on it or anything but I'm pretty sure Din is the character with the cousins. Rose isn't related to either Wasu or Din in any way. Their farms are just right next to each other and the term "Uncle" and "Brother/Sister" they use here is just a way of addressing another person that isn't a stranger to you.

Uncle and Aunt in Thailand can also be used for older family friends that are not related. So in this case, Rose's dad has been part of Din's life since she was a child. So she just calls him uncle as a form of respect and for being that kind of figure in her life.
