Frieren 2x2 | Full Length Reaction

It makes sense that the only person who could defeat Schlatt was the only other person who could see into the future. That's the only way to put them on even footing. There's no way Himmel and their party could have defeated him. So, as the only person who could kill Schlatt, The Hero of the South sacrificed himself for the greater good rather than seek the glory of trying to kill the Demon King himself. I love him so much!

The quickness of the "cap" when the sword demon showed up LMFAAAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I love this episode so much. I love watching it with you two. The way they portrayed the Hero of the South, and the connection between Frieren and Himmel, is just beautiful. Also, when the Hero of the South said he might be buried in the shadow of history, but was actually remembered by so many people, it really made me wanna cry... By the way, I don’t know if you guys noticed, but the beginning of Season 2(the first episode) is actually very similar to Season 1. They added that extra moment to the scene, and it made the anime feel even more artistic and awesome.

Great reaction. Season 2 has not disappointed at all so far. That being said, I think the big secret was the line, "I swear...I will clear a path for you" which is a message The Hero of the South wanted passed onto Himmel so he would know the way was indeed prepared for him. And the Hero Of The South did just that by killing one of Seven Sages of Destruction that could also see into the future along with two other Sages. As for the second half I noticed that when Frieren picked up the apple with the blood stain on it she had a look of disgust. I suspect she realized right there the demon had already killed everyone and eaten their corpses. That's why I think she blew open the empty grave to confirm her suspicions along with preventing the demon from gaining the edge. What tripped me out however was how the sword demon was relentlessly attempting to manipulate the interaction between them. For example by pretending to be a priest, trying to get them to pray just so they could close their eyes and when discovered it lied about needing to eat the villagers to survive. However Frieren called out that lie quickly when she pointed out how it didn't need to eat people to survive. And so that's why she said, "Speaking to it is a waste of time" because all these demons do is just constantly manipulate and throw out lie after lie. There really is no way to have any sort of dialogue with them.
