Frieren 2x1 | Full Length Reaction

PEAK ANIME IS BACK 🩵 We are so emotional already

Sync Guidelines

Our videos are edited in a watch-along format, which means you’ll need your own copy of the film or show to sync with us.

We will always count down 3… 2… 1… START — press play exactly when we say “Start” to stay in sync.

To follow copyright laws and give you the best viewing experience, our reactions must be paired with your own copy of the content. We take copyright very seriously, which is why we do not provide full uncut episodes or movies. Even if you see other creators doing it, that doesn’t make it legal — sharing full studio content crosses into a copyright gray area that we’re not willing to risk for our channel.

Here are some recommended ways to watch along with ease:

• Dual Monitor Setup:

If you’re on a PC, using two monitors allows you to keep the reaction and your show/movie visible side by side.

• Split-Screen Viewing:

Most devices — laptops, tablets, and even some phones — allow split-screen mode so you can watch both videos together.

Using these methods will help you stay perfectly in sync and get the smoothest, most immersive reaction experience. 😊

I LOVE being able to watch this new season in real time with you both! I laugh, cry, and feel all the feels alongside with yall. It's like you are in the room with me, gasping on queue alongside me. You guys have been the only reactors I have experienced this with, and I appreciate it a lot!

I really tried not to cry in this episode, but that POV of Fern on Starks back, desperately holding the bracelet he got her, putting all her faith in his saving her. It got me so bad. This anime is amazing at conveying emotion.

I only started watching Frieren a couple of months ago, but I loved it immediately, so i'm excited to see season 2, and especially with you guys! Usually i'm not that into shounen; i mostly watch yuri and slice of life anime, so i'm not into a lot of the anime that get popular in the west. But i love the stuff that exists between the lines like Dungeon Meshi and One Punch Man, and Frieren fits that description too, and it's amazing! It's really interesting to hear your takes on stuff in the show too, because i haven't seen any of the discourse since i watched it after everyone else. But I think both of you are right about Frieren's emotional growth; Meesh is definitely right that it's Himmel's death that sparked all the changes she goes through, but Dee you're also right that her relationship with Fern causes her to grow too, in different ways. They're very different relationships. She never would have been able to connect with Fern without Himmel's death starting her emotional growth. I always see Frieren & Fern as just "undefined partnership" rather than sisters or mother/daughter or anything; Frieren is Fern's teacher, magically and maybe spiritually too, but by human definition, Frieren is the child and Fern is the one raising *her*. Sometimes Fern's jealousy feels romantic (like when Frieren was totally motorboating Methode in s1 😂), and sometimes it seems like she only stays because of obligation. Sometimes she looks at Frieren like a mythical being, and sometimes like they are emotionally disconnected, like strangers. When they are fighting monsters, they're like two parts of the same person that move together. I find it fascinating, probably the most layered and interesting part of the whole show for me. I *definitely* think that Fern being both a woman and human reminds her a lot of Flamme, which also changes the relationship a lot. I love it. The ships are a nice mental vacation, but give me a good complex female friendship any time and i'm invested😁 IDK about your idea that time goes slow for Frieren though. I think a long time goes fast for her. 6 months spent looking for flowers is nothing to her. A 10 year journey is just a casual stroll. She disappeared for 80 years after they destroyed the Demon King and it was like nothing to her, while the Himmel and Heiter's whole lives passed by. It's a really cool premise tbh; where do you find meaning when time is eternal for you? If you fail today, you just try again tomorrow until you succeed. Why bother trying? And of course, the show's answer to that question is "love" in all its forms, which is why we all cry every episode.😭 AAAnyway. Yapper strikes again, sorry. Loved the reaction, i'm excited for the next ep! ❤️

Ahh, I loved reading this. Thank you for taking the time to share such a thoughtful take. I actually really love how you described Frieren and Fern as an undefined partnership rather than a mother/daughter dynamic. The more I think about it, the more that made sense to me. Like you said, sometimes Frieren is absolutely the child, and Fern feels like the one holding things together. And the jealousy really does read more like a best friend being jealous rather than anything else. Their relationship is so unique and that's why we lvoe them 🥹😭 Never apologize for yapping! We love all your comments!
