Don’t know if someone else mentioned this, but when you say that the actresses were able to capture their young selves and then the maturity as time passed … Yes, all that is impressive, but what really impressed me more is that the shooting of the series was not linear so they had to adapt to the character’s timeline depending on the scenes of the day! That’s something that I always admire from actors. 😍 ANDDD I LOVEE THIS REACTIONNN YEHHHHHH 🤘

Always lovely as usual. I really enjoy hearing your thoughts and comparisons between SamMon and PinAnil. It’s interesting how both Sam and Anil are in positions of higher authority, yet their lives are so different. Even though Sam lives in the modern era, she’s actually way more restricted under her strict grandma than Anil ever was living in the 50s. It really shows how much family upbringing matters. Anil’s family feels surprisingly modern and open-minded. Her dad saying he didn’t want Anil to feel inferior to her brothers almost feels unreal for that time period. And Anil’s confidence and freedom are so rare for women of that era but that’s exactly what makes her so charming. Sam, on the other hand, was raised with privilege but also heavily controlled. She’s very blunt about what she wants, but she has zero chill and basically no social skills for everyday situations. Her charm really only works on Mon (and us viewers watching). Comparing Sam to Pin is also really interesting. Pin isn’t exactly oppressed, but she grew up in a very strict, traditional household that’s big on class and roles. Aunty Padmika drilled obedience, gratitude, and servitude into her from young. Honestly, Pin feels closest to women from that era, the kind who don’t question, just obey, admit fault even if it is not their fault, and don’t even dare to dream about what they want. It’ll be interesting to see how that shapes her growth and journey. Mon has always been upfront and confident, just very naïve in love. And let’s be real - both Mon and Sam were “useless lesbians” for a huge part of GAP 😂 As for Anil, there’s clearly so much more to unpack and you shall discover an iconic character in the making. FreenBecky’s chemistry and performances in TLP feel completely different from GAP, it was honestly amazing to see zero traces of their old characters. Super excited for the next episode. There are always interesting lessons to learn🤭

Fun fact Anin got her Masters and PhD in rizziology and took many courses in "How to become a Top"💗

I do love that Anin is still respectful while she's being so forward. She knows she's pushing Pin, and that Pin is a little uncomfortable, but Pin is so reserved, almost to the point of repression, so Anin knows she has to push her to get the truth, whatever it is. But the SECOND that Pin expressly says she's uncomfortable, Anin backs off and respects her decision. It's so important to see that Pin feels comfortable enough to refuse Anin's advance if she wants to, and also that Anin will respect Pin's wishes, since Anin is in a position of authority over Pin. We love healthy communication and mutual respect 🥹

Yayyyyy these updates are RAPID, i'm so happy!! Either you guys are loving the show or you're busting your asses, but either way, thank you!! I guess you filmed this before you released ep 1 and saw the comments, but for anyone wondering about the family tree: Technically Pin and Anin *are* distant blood relatives, sorry. Anin's father and Pin's grandfather were first cousins, meaning Anin's great great grandfather was Pin's great x3 grandfather. (In the novel, at least). But genetically, they're about as similar as i am to both of you so it doesn't really matter. It was a common thing in Thai royal family at the time also, so no one in that time would have cared. Also, Princess Patt is Pin's full blood aunt and Anin's adopted aunt; Pin's father was Patt's full brother, but Patt was adopted by Anin's grandmother.

Ok, so there aren't any spoilers, but this is always how I thought about Anin's time in England. We already know Anin cannot let a question go unanswered. So when Anin left for England, she might not completely understand why she can't stop thinking about Pin because she's only 15. But I can't imagine that by the time she's 17, she's not asking herself why? Why do I miss her more than anyone else? And judging by how smart she is, I'm certain she found the answer pretty quickly too. That means for three full YEARS, she's known what it is she wanted from Lady Pin. But she was also completely unable to get it. She must have imagined, fantasized 5 lifetimes with Pin and what that would look like, with everything that comes with it. This poor girl was just starving by the time she returned. And even though she was starving, she couldn't do anything about it because Pin really doesn't realize what's happening. And if she pushes her, she'll lose her forever. Anyway, those are my thoughts about what Anin was going through when returning ;)

SO, Princess Pat is the adopted sister of Anin's dad, and she is also his distant cousin. Princess Pat was the sister of Pin's dad. She took Pin in after her brother died. Both sides of the family are related because the two kings who started the royal family lines were distant cousins. So, Anin and Pin are related, but it's a distant connection, so thin that it's barely noticeable, except through the title. I've read through books three times so far, and the series is very close (sometimes word for word) to the novels...the Loyal Pin comes in two volumes. Volume one goes from childhood until Anin goes to finish college. Volume Two is from Anin being back at college until the end of the story.

Killer episode, right? While it is debatable if Anin is too forward to the level of putting Pin under stress and confusion, I believe the quarrel scene after the uni trip is absolutely required for Anin to verbally share why she is on the edge, persisting and pretty much (regretfully) counting down the days they have together before she goes back. I bet all of us experience such clock-ticking moments where we try to make the most out of the draining minutes but this is beyond crazy. You 're-meet' your best friend, you are both matured, you already come to terms about your feelings... Yet you have limited time to see this through before you part ways again knowing your 'burning desire' person has so many interests queued up for her. That you may never get the opportunity again after you return for good. I feel you Anin! May I please repeat once again how these actresses/characters blow me away? MD keeps comparing Khun Sam with Anin / Mon with Pin but... How about the actual switch: Difficult Khun Sam to Polite, cute Khun Pin? Sweet Mon to go-getter, self-assured Princess Anin? I know, I know... It's called acting... But damn... FB definitely mesmerized me. See you in episode 4 Meesh and Dee!

i think in ep 1, it said that anin's grandma took in and raised princess patt as her daughter. so she would be anin's adoptive(?) aunt and the dad's adoptive sister so not blood related

Becky once did an interview about her character in The Loyal Pin and she said that this was the character that was most like her. In her words she said, "its like they look Anin out and they put me in"

I was also confused as to why Pin was still acting jealous after Anin told her Lady Uangfah was her cousin, but then I learned that Thai royalty would marry relatives/cousins to keep the bloodline "pure" and to keep power and wealth within the family 🙂 sooo I guess Pin was justified in her "jealousy" 😭

Yeah, Anin plays haaard lol. I swear, Pin is a strong soldier. But she’s so sweet—she doesn’t even understand what she’s feeling, and I love that about her. Freen and Becky’s acting is absolutely top-tier. They’re really good and you can feel how much heart they put into their work. Pin is definitely shy, and Anin is very bold—but it makes sense. Part of it comes from their social positions, but also because Anin had the chance to explore Western culture and witness people being openly romantic with each other. I honestly don’t even know if Pin has ever read anything about love, intimacy, or desire lol. Maybe in a sneaky way, under her blanket at night, all nervous about doing something this sinful or getting caught loooool. That’s exactly how I imagine her 🤭

I agree about your takes on Becky's characters and Freen's characters from Gap and TLP, and there is definitely a similar vibe from the actresses too : Becky in real life is also the one being more forward and bold in the pairing (no wonder she said in interviews that Anin is 90% like her), while Freen is more reserved and "shy" (tho sometimes they switch lol). Becky has a top vibe but likes to act cute around Freen, and Freen often gets shocked by Becky's boldness, but she still has daddy energy. xD

Anin and Pin are distantly related through royal family lineages. Anin's father and Pin's Grandfather were cousins apparently. So roughly second cousins once removed? lmao. Basically, they share very little DNA. Though...it is also said in some places that even though Princess Patt (took Pin in) was adopted into Anin's father's family; because of how far down the family tree is, she is seen as more of a grandchild than a sister which "technically" would give Anin the title of Aunt when it comes to Pin. But again, DISTANT bloodlines.

Pin's Aunt is blood related to Pin because Pin's Dad is her brother because iv read the books I won't spoil anything im enjoying your reactions

Princess Pat was adopted by Anil’s father’s ( the king’s) family. And then later on, Princess Pat adopted Pin because her parents passed away. So, they’re not related by blood. I hope this helps 🥹
