Clairebell Ep. 8 | Full Length Reaction

i will say the show ended how i wanted, with kae being abandoned having nobody in her side and clairebell being happy on the outside. however, i was annoyed with some things that went down this ep dkdkdj. first off, the way they had claire beat up kae which led to her spending three more years. i was annoyed cause when she stormed into that kitchen, she held back knowing kae was the one that almost killed bell. she turned around and was going to leave but then kae provoked her on purpose emptily threatening her sister and her girlfriend and then that’s when she snapped like bro 😭 her not doing anything to kae and getting out early, being able to protect her sister and bell and them being happy together would’ve been the biggest karma for kae cause that’s her worst nightmare but because obviously kae wanted her to beat her to extend her time in order for her and bell not to be happy together and she fell for the bait. i was annoyed but i thought ykw that’s fine, this may be a bit better actually since kae got that she deserved but also bell will visit claire in jail all the time and kae will know that they’re still together and that would kill her, so i was happy. but then fckass claire broke up with bell and i almost threw my laptop 😭 not once did claire give kae exactly what she wanted, she did it TWICE which pissed me off cause no one is happy except kae. knowing that claire was having her sentence extended and bell not coming to visit her because they had broken up is everything kae wanted. i really hated this and was maddd. another thing, to me it seemed like they were trying to make everything about bell going to jail top’s fault and make the friend look innocent. saying beam is serving top's sentence for him just like bell is just absolute lies?? bell is completely innocent while beam IS NOT. both beam and top should be serving their own sentences (and beam is serving his). i will say, genuinely if it wasn’t for the fact that the friend put those drugs in bell’s bag, she wouldn’t have gone to prison. it doesn’t matter that top was the supplier 😭 it’s not like he was forced to use the drugs or keep them, he literally wanted them cause he uses them. ALSO he literally already had some on him. in ep 1, we saw him snort some before he picked up his friend that passed out out of the club so he could’ve kept the rest on him as well or thrown them somewhere instead of pinning it on someone else 😭. i just have a little less resentment towards top because we saw him try to get her out multiple times and it wasn’t him who put the drugs in her bad, BUT he also has faults here. he knowingly brought his high school graduate girlfriend to a club that had drugs, drugs that he was also contributing to, where at any time they could get busted and arrested so that was awful of him to have done. anyway, both of them ended up in prison at the end of the day and i’m glad.

This GL series is in a league of their own. This was/is top tier.

Couple of thoughts: Set-wise, the sweat WAS real because they built it in an empty warehouse and apparently it was hot af. You can see how many fans and stuff they were using bts on the Youtube channel. (I really recommend watching the Clairebell documentary series they published over there too, it's really interesting). The exteriors were shot at an actual prison though, Also, Bell actually told Kae she was allergic to shrimp in EP1. They're talking about why they're in prison, Bell asks Kae if she was also in for drugs, Kae explains the pills she's popping are antihistamines, and Bell replies that she's allergic to shrimp so she has to take the same pills. Also, i'm not 100%, but i think the implication is supposed to be that Kae was moved to a worse prison because she also tried to murder Bell, and for seemingly no reason; the cell they're in is way nastier than the ones in the usual prison, the bed is different also, and it's hard to see but i think the uniforms are a different colour too? IDK, could be wrong.

Loved the reactions. This was truly hands down the top GL show in terms of cinematography and storyline. Like literally you can suggest it to anyone who is not even into GL stuff but likes good show. PS: High five Meesh!! The best thing I loved in last ep, Claire took the cat with her too!! It just melted my heart like ice cream.

God, I really think they did such a great job with this episode, although there's definitely plenty left to do in the Special Episodet too What i particularly love about this finale, is that even though it ends how we want it to, with Claire and Bell reunited and no bad blood between them, and most of the characters having a satisfying conclusion, the show doesn't shy away from the sadness and the tragedy that comes from being in prison, having your liberty taken away, the dehumanization, and the grief of losing so much of your life. It's beautifully handled, and i think that's what will really stick with me. That shot with their shoes left on the ground, and the reflections in the puddle really broke my heart especially. Like "we were never really here, but we will never really leave either". Really melancholy and beautiful, and the MUSIC?? That's gonna haunt me in the best way. I am hoping that the special episode won't just be a sugary-sweet fairy-tale, but will continue to be realistic. Claire was in prison for at least 3 (but i think as many as 5) years. That changes a person's psyche, and it also makes things extremely difficult in terms of getting a job and moving on with your life when you get out. I hope they broach that topic at least a little bit, and have Claire and Bell work through it together, because Claire does tend to take it upon herself to solve her problems alone, and she needs to learn to stop doing that and let the people who love her take some of the burden. I also hope they address Natty's trauma at least somewhat. Just because she was justified, doesn't mean she isn't still dealing with the trauma of being raped and the guilt of killing a person. For me, a truly satisfying "happy" ending would be one where both of them face their issues and are able to continue moving forward in their lives. I'd also like to see some ramifications for Wichai, Porches and Didi's future, and honestly? I'd like to see something even slightly less bleak for Kae, because that shit was DARK. She's not fully capable of understanding love the way other people do, and she did some very bad shit, but tbh i prefer to see everyone at least having the opportunity to grow and improve. Thanks for bringing us along for the ride, it's been really fun to see your reactions! I'm really excited for TLP next. Probably the 2nd best Thai GL made after Clairebell, but a VERY different ride XD

Amazing episode! What a finale! Ladies you never disappoint with your reactions.. Thanks for sharing your experience with ClaireBell, I watched it week by week as it was being released, but I've always loved watching others reactions to stuff (that's how I found you guys when I was bingeing Arcane) and I always liked how you tend to guess what's coming so naturally, like your feelings of dread with how focused they were on Kae at the start... I really loved the scene with Claire and Kae (not just because Kae finally gets her arse handed to her) but because you can really see Claire trying to hold herself back from hurting her for Bell's sake. Interesting point in the book, Claire's inner monologue is all about how her last image of Bell is her dying/not being able to breathe, so I found it really clever how you see Claire flashing to all her good memories of Bell to try and calm down and then as soon as it flashes to Bell on the floor in the canteen, that's when she snaps and goes for Kae. They did a great job for that scene. Can't wait for you to watch TLP - I haven't seen it yet so will be interesting - I've heard great things. (Sorry I always feel like I comment war & peace to you guys 😂)

Ah, I'll be for sure rewatching your reaction to Clairbell, it's just an amazing show. I seriously love that thai gl is evolving and even with small production such as Clairbell the level of storytelling and cinematography is getting better and better. For sure Clairbell and Love Design are paving the way on how to have an amazing gl shows with zero cringe, doesn't matter if its drama or rom-com.

If this series comes out in a DVD (i know I’m old 😑) .. or a digital form to buy , I would without hesitating ! This will remain my new fav classic lesbian series out there 🤣. I would rewatching it perhaps once a year for Christmas LOL

What a crazy ride it was! ClaireBell is uniqe. I love the series so much. If I have to pick my top 5, well, my number one girl is Deedee, 2. Dao, 3-4. Claire/Bell (I don't really know who I like better), 5. Porches. I pray for Angie who plays Deedee to have her own series. I fell in love with her cute dimples

I'm already dreading pressing play because I know I'm going to end up crying (likely with Dee lol) all over again... The greatest GL of all time, for sure. My top show out of any genre in 2025!!!

Clairebell is definitely my favorite GL. Its gonna be kinda difficult to top it, i feel like. But itd be nice to see what new GLs will pop out now after the success of Clairebell. I cant wait to see another series with Mable and Pangjie. Im not sure if you've seen some videos or shorts of the other cast members but there seems to be cute chemistry going on between the actresses who play Cream/Natty and Deedee. It would be interesting to see them as leads in their own series as well.
