Attack on Titan 4x5 | Edited Reaction

They are planning on a full invasion of the Island, using Eren and the rumbling as the main motivator as to why attacking the island is a necessity that threatens every nation in the world. If Eren dies they will move on to the next endian threat, and then the next, until they're all gone. Unfortunately, the reason why it works so well for Marley is that it's somewhat true. Eren understands the cyclical nature of it all and knows it won't ever stop. FYI Reiss = Fritz they are the same family just with a name change to avoid someone tracking them down to take the Founder, which somewhat worked until Grisha.

NON-SPOILER but this will clear up so much of your confusion: The FRITZ and REISS families are THE SAME! The true Fritz family (Uri/Historia/Frieda/etc...) put a fake Fritz on the throne and changed their name in order to protect their bloodlines, but they still controlled Paradis from the shadows. And Willy Tyber story is true. Remember the vow renouncing war and that whole convo between Historia and her dad? She asked him why, while having the ultimate power to wipe all the titans away (and even unleash the titans in the wall in order to basically rule the world), they didn't do anything all this time. Her dad answered her: "Because the king wished us to be controlled by the titans." Their vow renouncing war is literally a delayed form of suicide coming from one firm beliefs: Eldians' sins of 2000 YEARS long genocide has to be atoned by death. War is inevitable, and if one has to die, it has to be themselves. "In the meantime, let us savour some time alone in this paradise." It's fucked up, but also, I feel like people brush off way too easily how scarred the world was because of the titans. Like to put it into our perspective, imagine one race of people in our world having the power to shift into giants and committing the worst atrocities for as long as Jesus was alive lol
