Sync Guidelines
Videos are edited in watch-along style format, so you will need your own copy of the film/show to sync with us.
*We will count down 3...2...1... START. Press play right when we say "Start" for accurate syncing. We are still in the process of figuring out time codes*
To ensure compliance with copyright laws and to enhance your viewing experience, our reaction videos require synchronization with your own copy of the content. Here's a detailed guide to seamlessly sync your viewing:
Pausing and Playing: Due to the length of the movie, we may have taken a couple of pauses/breaks. This means you may need to sync up your copy of the movie/show again. We will give a verbal countdown such as "3, 2, 1... Start." You should click "start" on your copy of the show to sync again. We tried to minimize any cuts/pauses but just in case you need to re-sync, you can follow the subtitles from the video and sync with your copy.
Dual Monitor Setup: Utilize a dual monitor PC setup for simultaneous viewing of both screens.
Split Screen Viewing: Employ the split-screen function on your device to watch the reaction and your show/movie side by side.
Connectivity Options: Consider Chromecast/screen-sharing or HDMI connection to a TV, allowing for a larger display of one screen while using another device for the reaction video.
These methods facilitate a connected and immersive reaction viewing experience, ensuring you're perfectly in sync with our content. π

Wait...I'm pretty sure the old man at the beginning is John himself on his death bed reflecting upon his life spent in Japan. The kids are his grandchildren. I'm I wrong????
Well yes and no. It was him, but it was only a potential future where he decided to leave Japan and go home. They kinda showed it to prove that his time spent in Japan changed him and how he's actively choosing to intertwine his destiny with Japan.
the scene with john and fuji on the boat hits so hard, theres so much surface level, basically fake politeness and respect between a lot of interactions and characters, it's so much more impactful when you see genuine respect because it feels so much more earned, even with the language barrier you can tell how much they've started to mean to each other
1000000% πππ
When Toranaga said to Yabushige "why tell a dead man the future" he was actually repeating Yabushige's words to Omi in episode 1 when Yabushige withheld information on the cannons and guns on the ship. This implies that Omi was spying for Toranaga since the first episode which is crazy since Yabushige knew there was a spy but couldnt figure out who.
wow..... we never saw this coming. Toranada is a real mastermind lol always a step ahead everyone. ty for this context.... chills!
Yeah also to what you said the first season is based on the book but there was never another book for season 2. So season 2 will weave in actual Japanese history as a lot went on in that time period
That βjet your hands be the last to hold herβ got me π Absolutely loved this show - it did the book justice
That part killed us π
Underrated? This series was critically acclaimed and won a bunch of Emmys!
Ooops we meant for reactions! but you're right !
