I don't know if it's part of Eastern culture or just Thai culture, but putting food on someone else's plate is a gesture that is usually done if you are courting someone or it's someone very close like your partner, it's a gesture of care and it's taken as a gesture of interest, that's why the interactions where Sam puts food on Mon's plate are so important.

I love this! It's so nostalgic 😅 Y'all are going thru the same motions I did when I first watched it 😂 I had never seen a Thai series before this, so I got really confused by the phasing at times 😂 Sam definitely has her issues, but she is a lovely character. I like how polar opposite they are. I think a Mon is needed for Sam 😂 Mon takes her time with Sam to understand her and she doesn't take everything Sam says as seriously as others would 😅 This is a rollercoaster of going from 0-100 😂 Good luck going forward! I'll be looking forwards to y'all's next reaction 😁

Nueng, Song and Sam are all blood-related sisters. Their parents died when the girls were young, leaving the grandma in charge of them. Yall are hilarious. Rewatching GAP with yall is hella fun.

In the book, Song doesn't die in a car accident; she commits suicide after being unable to bear the pressure from her grandmother. That's why, in episode two, Sam's friends tell her they don't want her to end up like Song. I think it's more closely related to what the book tells us than what the series shows. And in the book, it explains that Sam, since she's never been able to get anything by asking, instead goes around in circles until she gets everyone to do what she wants. That's why she doesn't invite Mon directly to her house, but instead makes excuses to keep her guessing till she says what Sam really wants.... Sorry for my English I hope it's understandable ☺

It makes me really happy that you enjoyed this series. Maybe it’s not the best in terms of production quality, but since it was the very first one, it holds a special place in many of our hearts. It was filmed with countless challenges and on a very low budget. After Gap the Series, you should definitely watch Freen and Becky’s other project, Loyal Pin. Their acting has improved tremendously, and the show was produced with the sponsorship of the Thai Ministry of Tourism, so it also highlights and promotes Thai culture.

I'm glad you are enjoying this series, it may not be the best GL out there in terms of production (but given the fact that they were the first GL and had no sponsors back in the day, it make sense), but it hold a very special place in many people's heart, and Freenbecky are just so lovely together. Sam is a red flag but her dialogues are hilarious and Mon seems to get used to it and even knows how to fight back. xD Can't wait for next episode !
