PS: S4 has a different style of animation and may be confusing at first, because it's drawn more "realistic" and with more "subdued/darker" color palette (for artistic reasons), but you'll adapt to it in a few episodes. You can watch the rest of the OVAs now, between S3 and S4. I agree with Carmelie here that the OVAs woudl be fine here because it's a good "Checkpoint" vs earlier where the story has too much lore/information to consume. 44:10 : I laughed so hard at the "and now we know true story" comment they made, because they said that every season so far hahaha. This show is so good at building on itself, a slow burn with easter eggs leading to an insane payoff. I hope that notebook held up so far ladies LOL. YES! rewatch annie's flashback and 2x10 (children of the forest) with ymir's flashback with the knowledge gained. That episode was RIDDLED with easter eggs that just flew over everyone's heads until the end of season 3!!!! I'd love to see that as a youtube short for engagement! I keep telling people, my reaction watching this show was like : S1 : "Oh i think i know where this show is going." S2-3-4: "NO I FUCKING DONT".

I personally used to think (mistakenly) that the blob titan that they found is none other than Grice, Grisha's "friend" that was injected and thrown right before the owl saved grisha. But I realized that I made a mistake because grice was pushed off as bait for other titans to follow. The blob Titan was just a random unnamed patriot. I think the idea is that even if the Titan is nameless, Eren still sympathized with understanding to him instead of being fueled by revenge like in season 1. He sees him as an eldian now, not as a titan, and realizes the desperation that the patriots had to save eldian people and that makes eren even more depressed or lost in thought at how he believed freedom was just behind the walls...then he thought it was just behind the sea...and now he's realizing that there's only pain and enemies further out as long as the world exists and they hate his eldian patriot brethren.

You know, after 3 seasons of attack on titan, I'm surprised you STILL keep that tissue box so far away. May i suggest, bringing it closer? LMAO. Saves you the walk, especially with the poll options that y'all posted for next anime LMAO

Tremendo!!! <3 <3 <3 This season, my top 3 are: Erwin – For his determination and his cold, rational mind when making tough decisions. To me, he’s the character with the strongest presence and aura in all of AOT. 🔥 Levi – He went up against squads of elite soldiers plus another Ackerman and came out almost unscathed. On top of that, he wiped out several Titans, including one of the most dangerous and intelligent: the Beast Titan. 🐐⚔️ Armin – Even though he often underestimates himself, he’s proven to be a highly competent strategist. For me, he has the purest and most loyal heart of them all. 💯❤️ Please, talk as much as you want about theories, it doesn’t matter how long you go on discussing.

Interesting seeing Eren being the only one not excited/surprised about the sea, considering he's probably seen it through his dad's memories already. I think I missed that the first time.

Armin But theres a lot of chars shone in this season too like Hange, Levi, Moblit, Historia, Ymir And yes good time to rewatch berto and reiner, ymir interactions / backstory now that you have more context

I haven't thought about the Christa/Historia sexuality thing until Dee pointed it out LMAAOOO its so trueee XD I want to clarify 1 big thing tho: "Eren's founding titan powers (controlling all pure titans) can only be used when he's in physical contact with a royal blood." is NOT ALL TRUE In Episode 3x21, Eren said that "If someone with royal blood is made into a titan that I touch, it might be possible for me to use the founding titan's powers." This means that it WOULDN'T be possible for Eren to use that power just by touching Historia. She would have to be a titan for Eren to use it because remember the first time Eren controlled the titans in season 2, he was only able to do that because he came into contact with Dina as a titan. That's why Eren was scared of what the military would do to Historia if he speaks about that possibility. In short: -Eren touches normal human w/ royal blood (ex: Historia) = CAN'T use founding titan power -Eren touches a titan w/ royal blood (ex: Dina) = CAN use founding titan power

Congrats ladies. You've finished the AoT Season 1-3 prologue. Now we get to the meat of the story. Just a heads up the animation art style changes because they changed animation studio for Season 4. To me the art style is kind of a slightly more realistic style but the color palette is subdued. Kind of a 90's - early 2000's anime movie art style IMHO. In fact, I think the change in style denotes the passage of time and shows the move from youthful ignorance to grounded mature reality. Anyways, LET'S GOOOO SEASON 4 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! P.S. Hot take: Personally I think the Christa/Historia and Ymir relationship wasn't romantic. Ymir knew that Christa/Historia was hiding her identity and living a lie much like herself. So she identified with her but also saw her kind, helpful and cute outward persona as being a front as well. So the, "Oh I should marry you part" to me came off as Ymir making fun of Christa/Historia in a "Awe look at you...Aren't you so kind and cute." way to poke fun of her. That's just my take on it.
