@meesh/dee Just to be clear about something that gets often misunderstood due to time lapse of the show, but don't worry meesh, I'm not going to "say it" so that you can still get the high from the discovery yourself. And this is a clarification on something that you are supposed to know but misunderstood, so i'm toeing around not saying too much : Mikasa is HALF asian. Her last name (her dad's name) is Ackerman about what they are, or aren't? Her mom was the full asian that the bandits tried to kidnap and killed. Ergo....If we apply basic math, what do we conclude about the Ackerman dad and by extension Levi? Also, unrelated to this episode but i remembered something: when mikasa's mom was doing her embrodery switches with that family symbol thing, she was saying that the doctor Yaeger was coming for his usual visit. And they were talking about how babies are made etc, and the sad and gut wrenching implication that the community assumes is that Mikasa's mom was pregnant and was killed as such. And that's why Dr Yaeger was doing house visits for the pregnant mom since she would've took the trip to visit his clinic herself, and that's why the theme around that episode was Mikasa's mom telling Mikasa "make sure you pass this symbol to a child OF YOUR OWN one day" further implying that she was doing the embrodery stitches in preparation of welcoming a new baby to the family...then they died. :/ OOF. -- Also this episode is amazing, the animation of levi's fight is still studied in film and animation schools! And every detail is so interesting, and there's a lot of easter eggs in this episode, not just of future episodes (so i wont speak up) but also things that you've ALREADY seen before and they hinted/broughtup again. I wont say more. Also the note from eren is NOT the lord reiss true king plot reveal. Give Hange and Levi their credit for their detective work! lol.. All hange got from eren's note is something implying that Eren will be EATEN. The note about lord reiss's face is from the work that hange/levi did, not from what eren said :) just to clarify the confusion you had. You gotta figure those out yourself. I did on my first watch, so i know detective meesh got it and can brainstorm with dee.

We will never get tired of Dee flirting and spitting game at Meesh every single time the intro song plays hahah Also I'm not sure about how long it took to animate season 3 but the gap between season 2 finale and season 3 premier episode is pretty short. It's just under a year, however the gap between season 1 and 2 is pretty long. Season one started in 2013 and season 2 started in 2017

So the Manga does a good job in showing/telling the viewer how the people/society within the walls works... examples would be. which parts of the walls were rich in resources What kinds of people lived where ( Classism / Elitism , Eren's family and friends lived on the outermost walls). and how as a society, they all hold the belief that the only thing that can possibly take down a Titan are humans, so the idea of harming/murdering one another was beyond taboo for the general public to even conceive, because of how desperate/precarious their existence is atp. which is why its extra hard on our party to murder another human being, bc it;s not for survival, but as Armin puts it, "...it's because Their Views are Different". which i would say, hits hard. this "anime" as I like to say, is the Greatest SHOW of all time. People of all ages can get into this, even those who never seen anime before. lol there's amazing shows all over but imo, this Hajime Isayama Fella is something else, he created a masterpiece

I love both Armin and Jean. They have an cool dynamic/friendship and are pretty similar. A common theme with Jean is that hes a nautral leader that deeply values human life from all the way back to the Trost arc when he felt guilty that he "used" lives when he was leading everyone to get the gas at HQ. He hesitated here because he didn't like the idea of killing other humans. He is constantly having to fight these inner battles of confliction. Same with his desire for comfort vs sense of duty/heroism in which he thinks of Marco who inspired him. Armin on the other hand is a nautral strategist who thinks about morality a lot. He believes that that you have to abondon your hamunity to save others. He did that to save Jean his close friend. But he also thinks about the greyness of it all. Armins growth and his lost of innocence is good writing. Both top tier characters. Also you guys caught the Levi last name reveal. Some reactors miss it. You guys are cooking.

The people in the flash back that were killed, all of them have actually been spoken about, namely the teacher and the couple. You know them.
