Frieren 1x28 | Full Length Reaction

You misread what Serie said. She said they have a "bumper crop" not a "bummer crop". As in a very good harvest. Because if you recall, Sense has never passed a single test taker in passed exams she proctored. So the fact that 12 examinees passed Sense's test was an anomaly. It made Serie believe Frieren was the sole cause. She probably fully expected to fail all of them at the start (except maybe Wirbel). So she was surprised that 6 of them were actually first class material. She apologized to Sense because she initially believed she was mistaken about the quality of mages in the exam.

36:00 tiny clarification, when Serie met with Sense after passing a lot of students, she didn't say "we have a BUM crop this year" (as in BAD), she APOLOGIZED to Sense and told her "you were right, we do have a BUMP crop this year" (as in, better than usual, cream of the crop), basically complimenting the new First class mages additions and apologizing for last episode when she told Sense "it's too high of a passing for your second test, your test was a failure because of Frieren carrying them". She basically recognized them all, and remembered them, which echoes how she truly feels when you compare that to what Frieren said about Serie's students, and how Serie usually doesn't say her thoughts properly because she's awkward... this was serie telling sense that she's proud of this bumped up cream of the crop batch of new first class mages this year. ":D

If you need another anime to watch while waiting for season 2 you can't go wrong with Re-zero

0:25 PAUSE IT. I'm also so happy that i was one of the first vocalists of suggesting Frieren to you wayyyy before it became a popular anime! I knew it i knew it i knew it, that it will be something both dee and meesh enjoy equally :D And i just wanna say thank you for all the other suggestors of this show (and the other shows that i like) for helping promoting good shows for Meesh and Dee!)

The shows you have watched and the ones you are planning to watch are top tier - great choices. I hope you'll also give "The Apothecary Diaries" a chance when a window opens it is a very beautiful anime that aired at the same time as Frieren that is definitely worth watching. Frieren is my new all time favorite anime, glad you both loved it as well.

The ending lines of the show hit me so hard every time I watch cuz I feel like they're meant as kind of a nod to the viewers too. It's not just about Himmel and Frieren and all the friends the party meets, but also a message for everyone who's watched this show and been affected by it - "Don't cry because the season's over, because it'll be embarrassing when we meet again; the journey to Ende continues." as for Serie, I really think she's tragic in a way. I'm anime-only so I don't really know what her deal is, but just because it's such a running theme I imagine she suffered a lot of loss at the hands of the demons and the way she behaves is probably her way of coping, but because she hasn't confronted those feelings in herself she is continuing to perpetuate that trauma to her students. Lernen is I think a result of that - a mage who was taught only how to fight and so doesn't know how to live in the peaceful world, because Serie doesn't know how to live in one either.

with leRNEN ITS LESS ABOUT BEEN REMEMBERD BY SERIE, Lernen then explains to Frieren that besides the Great Mage Flamme, all of Serie's apprentices have failed to leave their mark on history. Once he dies, another piece of Serie's existence will be erased, and because of that, Lernen is determined to leave his mark even if it means going down in notoriety for killing the legendary mage Frieren, he does not want serie to be forgotten even if it ruins his own reputation

On June 4, the Taichung City Government of Taiwan commended 17 people for their courageous acts of justice, including Xu Ruixian nicknamed the “Long-Haired Brother,” who fought directly with the suspect during the metro stabbing incident on May 21. When asked by the media what inspired his act of bravery, he replied: “It’s what Himmel [the Hero] would have done.”

Serie knew that if she talked to Ubel, Ubel might try to empathize with her, and then Ubel would end up getting all the spells Serie had 🤣

she aid bumper not bummer crop lol
