I think what serie was saying made sense. The longer you live, the more your perception of time speeds up as any given unit of time is increasingly a smaller portion of your lifespan. 5 years to a 10 year old seems much longer than 5 years to a 50 year. It's half of the time they've lived vs just 1/10th for the 50 year old. Just think back to when you were kids, didn't time seem to feel much slower in passing vs now? That's certainly the case for me.

This is one of the funniest reaction videos that you girls put out lately... here are some highlight snippets: A FULL 10 minutes flsahback opening about Flamme and Frieren meeting with Serie. ~15 minutes later(at 17:00), when frieren breaks the barrier: - Serie: "it's been a thousand years, frieren, and this is how you say hello?" - Dee: "So ShE aLrEaDy MeT hEr?" Deeeeeeeeee, you're too innocent for a degenerate :D Also, Meesh's brain shutting down at 3x6=18 math SENT ME. Finally, both of you forgetting that Denken (oldman) doesnt want to get a free spell because he's like frieren in terms of enjoying the hunt for spells more, right before he reveals why he wants to be a first class mage to see someone's grave. Dee :"But i'm not an elf?" Meesh: "You're nottt????? I thought you wanted a thousand babies!" and 30:00 meesh's duck face : "ElVeS SeE TiMe...Slowerrrr(duckface)" You 2 are too funny to react to :D , ladies :)

So, a couple little fun facts. A lot of people dunk on Denken for believing he could take on Frieren, but we need to keep two things in mind. First is Frieren intentionally conceals her mana to make her opponents underestimate her. It's perfectly reasonable for Denken to assume he and Frieren are not too different in strength. And the second is magic is the world of visual imagination. If you cannot imagine doing something, you cannot use magic to get it done. Denken needs to believe he can beat Frieren. If he can't, then he would fail 100% of the time. Serie and Flame are both mages who seek battle. They cannot imagine living in a peaceful era. Since magic is the world of visual imagination, they can't possibly accomplish something that brings about something they can't imagine. This is why neither of them can defeat the demon king. The last thing I want to mention is about the proctors Genau (the guy) and Sense (the girl). It's never explicitly stated, but Genau reveres Serie in a way Sense doesn't. Sense was able to recognize that Serie's barrier isn't unbreakable, but Genau said it was impossible. Sense can imagine someone challenging Serie. Genau could not. If Genau tried using magic against Serie, Serie would likely not even need to do much to stop it. Because Genau already thinks Serie is untouchable. This episode was the introduction to the core principle of Frieren's magic system: a world of visual imagination. If you cannot visualize it, it cannot be. It's not something you need to pay super close attention to, but I would recommend keeping an eye out for when characters talk about what they can and can't imagine. Especially if they are a mage.

I was looking forward to seeing their reaction to finding out Flamme was a student of Serie's and they either missed it or didn't have a reaction to finding out that information. What a bummer. Also, missing out on Stark's dialogue at the end of the episode... ugh.

Frieren is definitely a first-grade mage but she just too lazy to get the certificate every year. Everyone else are called by their names, then there is the "two lesbians" 🤣 Notice the master - student couples 👀 Serie (elf) -> Flamme (human) -> Frieren (elf) -> Fern (human) -> ?
