Frieren 1x15 | Edited Reaction

Fantasy stories have a common trope of two types of magic: Regular magic and holy magic. In Frieren, holy magic comes from the Goddess and is difficult for regular mages to learn. Priests form a connection to a holy source of power - that's what Heiter and other priests do to cast unique spells that can heal, detect curses, etc.
