Frieren 1x3 | Reaction & Review (UNCUT)

Just posting this because you guys kind of looked confused when this scene happened. That being said, I'll doubt you'll read this since so much time has passed since you've viewed this episode.😆 Anyways, when Frieren makes the comment about her and Fern having the same diet it's right after she noticed that Fern has gotten taller than her. Then Frieren glances at Fern's chest. Then the scene changes to two piles of rocks that kind of resemble boobs. In other words, that was Frieren realizing that Fern has not only gotten taller but also developed bigger boobs than her. So she is kind of confused/upset as to why she developed small boobs. So as wholesome as this show is that was a very subtle boob joke.

Such a bs reaction channels no timing or anting. Yeah, y’all are great, but your price is bullshit!! What a waste of money for no time reactions

The episodes are slow indeed, but I don't see a problem in this at all. In a way this also mimics Frieren approach to life.. When Qual (means Agony or Pain btw) was kinda outsmarted by humans this is actually very similar to the problems Heimerdinger has in the council, right? For him time doesn't put any pressure on him, he can take as much time as he wants to do or solve things and expects that is the same for all beings.. Meanwhile humans are pretty aware of their short life span and therefor rush to accomplish things. They are forced to adept quickly and this actually gives them an advantage. You remember his quote when he arrives at the Firelights? "How did you accomplish so much so quickly?" Ekko "You'd be surprised what you can pull of if your life depends on it". You could find the same thing in LotR too. The age of the Elves is over and the age of mankind begins because mankind evolves and adepts so quickly. It makes total sense to keep the pace slow, because this is Frieren's story... 😉 I love how the show uses the different perception of time as kinda plot. Fern and Frieren both learn a lot on the way..

Yeah Qual learning the hard way that Humanity evolves quickly and Spells that were once Overpowered get reduced to normal spells because we develop countermeasures

lol. you're still confused by the title cards of "date" like "26 years after the death of himmel" @meesh/Dee, go back and watch all the other episodes's starting scene, and u'll see they ALL said "X years after the death of himmel" Think of it like how we say in the world 2025 AD , it's saying 2025 years after the death of christ etc. vs "500 BC" means 500 before christ. Their time period is being told from the perspective of when himmel died, Fern's a teenager, not a 30+ year old woman lol -- BUT i think you might have binged all those episodes together and didnt notice the former comments yet :) no biggie, we love you gals anyway. Enjoy the show! EDIT after watching fully: 28:00 @meesh is right, she realized that the timeline you both had was misleading. Dee and Meesh, good job haha, you got it without us! you're good now :D

If the characters, writing, storytelling, art and sound are all excellent who cares if it's slow? Not all anime need to be battle shonen. Frieren was my 2024 anime of the year. Thank you for watching this show!
