Big Announcements! New Reactions Coming Soon! šŸŽ‰

Hello, beautiful people! Meesh here! 🄰

We have a ton of exciting news about the new content we’ll be watching in the coming month! After a long time of convincing, I finally got Dee to agree to watch The Last of Us Season 2! She’s very sensitive to dark and horror themes, so please be patient and kind—I’m beyond grateful that she agreed to watch it with me on the channel lol 🄲 We already watched Season 1 together before starting the channel, so there won’t be reactions for that.

Even though we’re total babies when it comes to horror and gore, we love the TLOU story and are so excited to experience Season 2 with you all. To get ready, we’re hosting watch-alongs for Season 1 on our Discord as a recap before the new season drops in April! šŸ™Œ

------------------------------------------------------------

New Shows We're Watching!

ā– Replacing Solo Leveling → FRIEREN

EDIT: We will still be finishing Season 2! There aren’t too many episodes, so we’ll get through it quickly before starting our reactions to Frieren. 🫶

Since we’ll be watching TLOU, I owe it to Dee to balance things out with some wholesome content! Frieren has been high on our watchlist, so this is the perfect time to finally dive into it.

ā– Replacing Demon Slayer → COMING SOON šŸ”œšŸ«£ Give us some suggestions in the comments below what you would like us to react to after Demon Slayer.

ā– SURPRISE! šŸ˜±ā€¼ļø We’re also reacting to Blue Eye Samurai!

This show has been on our polls at least five times, and we’ve been dying to watch it. Reactions will be dropping starting tomorrow!

------------------------------------------------------------

Note: We’ll still be polling for movies and shorter shows (non-anime) to mix things up. Also, we apologize for not having a strict upload schedule—please bear with us! Both of us still work full-time jobs, so we post content as we go. It’s tough to promise a set schedule, but we appreciate your patience and support!

Drop your movie or show recommendations in the comments! It really helps if you include the number of seasons and episode lengths. We're also working on a new ticketing system in our Discord for reaction requests—stay tuned for that!

Much love,

Meesh šŸ’–

I recommend Stein's Gate for anime. It's really good. One of my favorites. It's about time travel. A good live action show is a Korean Netflix show called Alice in Borderland. It's about a guy that's hanging out with his friends. They run away from some police and hide in a bathroom only when they come out, what was previously and busy intersection is now completely deserted.

Im so late for this but heres mine… Attack on titan for demon slayer replacement now that you got used to anime style of story telling Balance it with spy x Family and something you both really want to watch. We may not see Meesh cry on these videos but I know you feel much for these characters and would probably listen to OSTs endlessly until you’ve moved on šŸ˜† Ranking of kings - short anime with different animation style, great plot and storytelling 1 season 23 episodes Violet Evergarden- stunning animation, heart warming stories Konosuba- for good vibes and laughter or watch it privately for mental health just something you can alter with food wars

For movies I recommend any Studio Ghibli movie to be honest! Spirited Away it's so good, I love Howl's moving castle as well, and for some LGBTQ movies I recommend the Handmaiden, Carol and Bottoms (this one is a fun one). To replace Demon Slayer maybe Attack on Titan!

May i suggest the obvious Attack on titan to replace Demon Slayer? I could settle for Re:Zero for now but ithey are a bit "a lot ' for dee with Last Of Us, So Sword Art Online is a guilty pleasure that balances things out, and it's a bit of a weird recommendation because some people love to hate on it similar to how people hate on demon slayer and call it "mid". but SAO has like ~4 actual seasons , split over i wanna say 6 arcs? (like how S2 of DS has mugen train and entertianment for example). And i think there's 3 OVA movies ~1h ish teach ? it has ups and downs but alicization and war of underworld arcs were animated by A1 studio, which made Solo Leveling, so u'll see how good that animation is and want more ;) and the story there is really good. As for "more slice of life/fun vibes" (compared to AoT Rezero line up lol) i recommend apothecaries diaries. Similar to Frieren and i think the voice actress lead is the same for both.

J
Just_Jayvin Ā· March 28, 2025

Yes! Finally excited for Blue Eye Samurai!! Im praying y'all enjoy the show, truly has amazing moments, themes, characters and action! And the animation is stunning too, almost similar to Arcane in a way. Will be a great rewatch for some of us! (Not to mention all the unhinged moments we will get haha) Another thing, big shoutout to both of y'all, Meesh for convincing Dee to continue watching Last of Us, cause I certainly understand it's not an easy watch, imagine people like me also having to play the game and sort of be in the drivers seat being immersed in all of the moments, it can get pretty draining lol. Especially this upcoming season, which caused a lot of controversy when the game initially released, it was very divided within the community, but I for one loved it, and is definitely one of my favorite games. Obviously no spoilers, but I'm genuinely curious how people who haven't experienced the game will react to the underlying themes and new characters/moments as well, should be an intriguing journey! I think it'll be worth it. Lastly, I'd be down for some Severance reactions too, as someone who decided to watch it this year, I wonder how you both would react to this type of show, considering the lifestyles you guys live with full time jobs and such, the perspectives and thought processes could be fun lol, and I wouldn't consider it too dark as well, more of a mild, thriller type show! Might feel slow, but when it gets going, it's like nonstop lol Regardless, still love everything you've been putting out, keep up all the dope work M&D! ā¤ļø

2 seasons (50ish mins/episde, 12 ep seasons I think) + movie to wrap it up. By the wachowski's (who did matrix), and some amazing acting/Superpowered people. A fair amount of queerness but that's not why I recommend it.

Attack on titan, i love to see and hear your reactions and discussion to the plot twist of that anime🄰

S
Star Chaser Ā· March 28, 2025

I'd love to see your reactions to: - Attack on Titan (4 seasons, 94 episodes, or 87 if you watch the last 7 episodes as 2 movies. A dark, intense, and emotionally gripping series with top-tier storytelling, incredible world-building, and jaw-dropping twists. It’s powerful, thought-provoking, and will keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. It is dark and serious, and has gore, but I promise it's worth it. It's a must watch.) - My Hero Academia (7 seasons, 159 episodes, and 4 movies—movies are canon but not referenced much in the main series, still highly recommended. A high-energy, feel-good series set in a world of heroes and villains. It’s a perfect blend of action, heart, and personal growth, with a lovable cast and epic fights. The animation and soundtrack add an extra layer of hype, making it a blast to watch.) - Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (1 season, 64 episodes. An epic blend of action, emotional depth, and thought-provoking themes, with some darker moments but balanced by hope, humor, and unforgettable characters. The story is beautifully paced, with rich world-building and meaningful arcs. A true masterpiece.) - Jujutsu Kaisen (2 seasons, 47 episodes, and 1 prequel movie—movie is canon but can be watched later. A stylish and intense supernatural action series with an intriguing dark fantasy setting. The fights are thrilling, the characters are dynamic, and the animation is stunning. It balances dark themes with humor and camaraderie, keeping you hooked throughout.) - Sword Art Online (4 seasons, 96 episodes, and multiple movies—movies are mostly side stories/non-canon). A captivating adventure series that explores virtual reality worlds with plenty of action, drama, and heartfelt moments. The visuals and music are stunning, and the story constantly evolves, taking you through different settings and challenges.)

I am beyond excited for this schedule 🤩🤩🤩. Can't wait to watch TLOU 2. Never played the game, but I loved season 1. Pedro and Bella are a match made in heaven. As a side note it makes me rather confident that the TLOU producer Rose Lam also takes care of the LoL live action show. I love Frieren! It took me a few episodes to really dive into it, but then.... This is really sth for the heart, but tears will flow..šŸ˜‰ BLUE EYE SAMURAI!!! I hungered for this, so this post just made my day. The show that saved me from my first post-Arcane-depression and showed me that there are still other shows worth being excited for. No way you are not gonna love it (and not just for peaches šŸ˜‰). Amazing (lead) characters, visually stunning, great plot and soundtrack. The full bundle! šŸ˜ Gosh we wil all be eatimg well now!! šŸ˜ (Only Vi ate better..😜) It feels almost ungrateful to suggest other shows after a list like this, but as you asked for this: VIOLET EVERGARDEN is a very emotional show, literally heartbreaking, great music and stunning pics. Need to keep the tissues ready..šŸ˜‰ A very new show that impressed ne a lot is ADOLESCENCE. Hard topic, great acting and insane camera work (every 1 hour episode is a one shot). Unbelievable.šŸ‘ Also would like to suggest a completely new genre with K-DRAMA. You will get peak acting and a variety of subgenres. ALL OF US ARE DEAD, THE GLORY, EXTRAORDINARY ATTORNEY WOO, REPLY 1988 and LITTLE WOMEN. Are my favs, but I only just started this journey. They are all completely special and hard to compare to western shows actually.

There’s currently one season with 10 episodes with a s2 finishing production and to release in late 2025. Be a fun way for you to get back to the Godzilla/Kong universe as it expands the world. Amphibia (3 seasons with 20 episodes in the first two seasons & 18 in the last season.) The Spectacular Spider-Man (2 seasons with 13 episodes per season)

I just wanted to recommend an anime for the future: Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (64 eps). It’s set in a world where magic and science combine into alchemy—a power that lets you transform matter. But it follows one rule: the Law of Equivalent Exchange. If you want to create something, you must give up something of equal value. This anime has deep themes about philosophy, politics, and ethics, but it also mixes in action, drama, and humor, making it a great watch! There are two versions of the story: Fullmetal Alchemist (2003) – Since the manga wasn’t finished at the time, this version takes a different path halfway through. I like to see it as an alternative story. Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (2009) – This version follows the original story completely. I recommend watching this one first! Thanks for reading šŸ«°ā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļøšŸ«°

Just watched Frieren for the first time and loved it, can't wait for you guys to see it! Attack on Titan makes the most sense to follow Demon Slayer if you want another longer, modern classic type of show. It is one of the best of its genre but just be warned it's dark and grim so it won't be an easy watch especially for Dee. Lots of gore, death, politics and depression. šŸ˜‚

n
noaburr Ā· March 28, 2025

Also gonna throw out a couple suggestions for short/ongoing shows ahead of the new suggestion system here since everyone else is doing it šŸ˜‚ Kaiju No. 8 is 1 season with a second coming this year, so far pretty lighthearted but with high stakes and great action, but also has a lot of sweet and hilarious moments. A bit of a mix between AoT and Solo Leveling but doesn't take itself as seriously. Delicious in Dungeon is another 1 season show with a second season on the way (but no release date yet) - feels similar to Frieren with the classic RPG party dynamics with a really loveable cast and interesting overarching story. Big bonus points for the amazing anime food that most episodes are built around. Madoka Magica is a bit of an older, classic 12 episode anime that's basically Sailor Moon if becoming a Guardian came with a big downside. No spoilers but it's known for being sad, but it's also bittersweet and cute. X-Men '97 - revamped version of the classic that's super nostalgic without just being a cash grab remake. Definitely one of the better western cartoon series out there and so far there's only one season. Big recommend if you guys watched the original x-men shows as kids! Sense8 is a live action cancelled Netflix show by the Wachowskis that got wrapped up with a movie instead of a final season, so 2 seasons and a movie. Great action, super interesting and complex storyline and lots of queer characters. It takes place in different countries and was filmed almost entirely on location: San Fran, Chicago, Mexico City, London, Amsterdam, Nairobi, Mumbai, Reykjavik, Berlin, Sao Paulo, and Seoul (might be missing some!). The camerawork, choreography, acting, writing, cinematography are all on another level. If you liked Everything Everywhere you'll love this.
