What I think Vox Machina does so well is using action scenes as a catalyst for character development. In addition to the saucy animation, the personal stakes of this battle made for such a good payoff.
I love the utterly gross song. Listen to the credits for the whole thing. Hahahaha.
"Strummin the old clamjo" is a work of art
was the gigantamax a pokemon reference lol
it sure was
One of my favorite episodes of the campaign. They would sometimes joke around about pie in the sky dreams - "oh wouldn't it be cool if we got to make an animated series" - and whenever those conversations would come up, this was one of the fights i would always think of that I'd be excited for - and seeing it in the animation even surpassed my expectations.
Such a good episode. Closing stretch, then Season 3. AND, their second campaign has an upcoming show as well, but next year maybe? Uncertain timeline just yet.
I can't wait for you to watch the table to screen for this episode
Seconded. Table to screen for the climax of the fight is unmissable.
