This episode always made me wonder if maybe the part of the reason Lin didnāt like Korra at the start was because she reminded her of Su Also while both Lin and Su are both at fault in a way I find myself really feeling for Lin more. Su kept saying āLet it Goā or āItās in the pastā but Lin sees the reminder every day in the mirror due to her scar. And Su didnāt take any responsibility for what for she did until later. And all that time and she couldāve found Lin and apologized but she didnāt, she wanted Lin to come to her. But anyways, Iām glad theyāre starting to repair their relationship now!
yeah exactly, like, itās one thing to say āiāve changed, iām a different person nowā but really the thing lin seemed to be wanting was for su to take responsibility for the harm she caused, so for her to be insisting that sheās changed while *still* not using any apologetic/taking responsibility language made me able to sympathize with why lin wouldnāt be able to just accept that and move on.
Iāve read a theory that the reason Lin and Tenzin broke up was because Tenzin needed to have children so that airbending wouldnāt die out, and Lin didnāt want kids. (Lin in episode 5 saying, ā5 kids, what a nightmare.ā) The flashback in this episode adds to this idea, because something that happens a fair amount with older siblings who end up having to parent their younger siblings is that they end up not wanting to be parents.
lol, Dee re-reacting to lavabending!
Itās time for another round of Find Azulaās Voice Actress! Here she voiced Young Lin. Also, Tophās og voice actress voiced Young Suyin!
Uff, every time I see the needle go into Linās hand I get physically uncomfortable. Iāve been doing acupuncture for like 3 years, and the first few times they did it in my hands, and they ended up going completely weak for the rest of the day. Also, I feel a bit cheated, because Iāve never once relived any memories. Then again, theyāve never put one in my forehead. Also also, now Iām a bit jealous because my neck is super tense and my next appointment isnāt for like another two weeks.
