Pausing and Playing: Due to the length of the movie, we may have taken a couple of pauses/breaks. This means you may need to sync up your copy of the movie/show again. We will give a verbal countdown such as "3, 2, 1... Start." You should click "start" on your copy of the show to sync again. We tried to minimize any cuts/pauses but just in case you need to re-sync, you can follow the subtitles from the video and sync with your copy.
Dual Monitor Setup: Utilize a dual monitor PC setup for simultaneous viewing of both screens.
Split Screen Viewing: Employ the split-screen function on your device to watch the reaction and your show/movie side by side.
Connectivity Options: Consider Chromecast/screen-sharing or HDMI connection to a TV, allowing for a larger display of one screen while using another device for the reaction video.

First scene showing Appa - Dee: “ aw he’s cute! he looks good!” Meesh non verbally 😒: “just wait till you see his face” 😂😂😂 Im pretty sure the first 5 minutes of the Netflix avatar series was made solely due to EVERYONES reaction to the scene of the group of earth benders in prison. All that work for a pebble!
Bryke actually walked away from the movie, I think pretty early on. Shyamalan is credited with writing, directing, and producing this dumpsterfire, so we can give him all the blame.
The other movie Dee was thinking of was Life of Pi, and I’m pretty sure Dev wasn’t in that one.

I think the blue spirit scene does actually take place at the Northern Air Temple, but it took me way too many rewatches (through reaction channels ONLY) to realize it. I suppose I should’ve realized when they didn’t have a new location title pop up on screen.
Actually, I think the only white people in the water tribe were Katara, Soaka, and their grandmother, aka the characters with speaking roles.
So Shyamalan changed a lot of the pronunciations to be more accurate to the languages they’re based on, which would be fine if he bothered casting the characters to reflect the nationalities they’re based on.
Oh, I just got to the part at the end where you two discuss this!
This is a controversial take, but I actually think the tattoo is cool. I like the intricate details that are too complex to do in animation.

What’s so fascinating is that this movie isn’t just awful as an adaptation, it’s also just a bad movie. The plot is all tell, don’t show. The dialogue is godawful. The acting is cringe (except for Seychelle, she’s lowkey my favorite version of Yue 🫢). There are parts that just straight up don’t make sense—like the first time we’re given Ahng’s name is during Katara’s monologue on the way to the Southern Air Temple, and then the next scene when they’re exploring the temple she asks him what his name is! I’ve watched reviews from people who’ve never seen the animated series and even they hated this movie!

The only good thing about this movie was that it helped bring to the forefront whitewashing characters. The community coined the term racebending and more and more people were aware of it.
