Hello everyone:),
The time has come, I settled into my new apartment and finished the newest items. Again I concentrated mainly on building items this month except for two plants, pots, and a Balinese parasol. The columns, fences, spandrels, and railings are functional and cant is found by typing in *colonial or *felixandre, I added my icon so you can find them easily in the build catalog. I added plaster and brick walls, and also two different types of foundations in all the usual color swatches, ( they will match my other content too. Additionally, you will get trim details that can be placed on the walls for a continuous look. I hope you enjoy building with them as much as I do I can't wait to see how you use them :)

Now a bigger update: I added another image to show you more of the upcoming content. I mentioned that functional columns, spandrels, fences, and railings are a new area for me and I felt that most of the past days when I started doing the color options. Creating the swatches in Photoshop is the same as usual but bringing them into the game takes way longer than I ever expected, in a nutshell ... I am late and couldn't stick to my schedule :( on top of it, I need to stop working on the CC for a few days because I am moving into a new apartment and need to organize and pack everything. I don't think I can share the new content before the 5th of July, Thank you for your patience I will do my best to finish them as quickly as I can
p.s. I went through your lovely suggestions and decided to add plants, of course, railings, a new floor, wallpapers, and foundations to the party :) If you are patient enough I could try and add some trim objects, but only if time allows it!
Just a little update: I added another picture to show you the brickwork in the game I added a seamless window as well. Thank you for all the suggestions! I am quite interested in doing a few tropical planters with lipstick palm trees and some fern which I will start today :)
I have some exciting news, at least exciting for me, finally, I managed to create functional columns, spandrels, and fences. Above you can see my first attempts, they will be part of the Colonial set and so far I decided to create items in brick and plaster. I mainly got inspired again by the Indochine style you can see at the Raffles Hotel in Singapore and buildings in Luang Prabang in Laos. I am planning to work on a few wood items as well. By the way, a fence and spandrel have 19 meshes, I think I created around 90 meshes already :D.
I must say this whole new category of content is a bit overwhelming and I am getting a bit lost within this month's theme. Additionally, I am moving into a new apartment beginning of next month and I am running out of time to create everything I want.
Maybe it's confusing me even more, but maybe it's helpful if you have suggestions for content that I could create for this set, it should be mainly focusing on the exterior and a bit of garden. I would love to see what you have in mind.

Hey! I noticed the plaster foundations are in the file but don't show up in game. I tried all tricks I could find online but nothing made them show up. Am I missing something?

seriously, always love your plants cc, i use them a lot, would love to see a whole month of just plants! Just a suggestion, if you plan on to do more Indochine stuff, consider doing a oriental pond-in-pot marine plants (such as lotus) item?

Do you lose them out of all your builds though? It's the thought of having to go back through every house make an inventory and replace every single chair! It's a worse thought than doing the fix tbh.
Even if the creators update the chairs it's still a new object. You have to delete the old version so you would still have to replace them in every build. But yes, the Sims4Studio fix deletes all the cc chairs from your builds.
@Karen Danielle, you can actually update all CC chairs by yourself with Sims4Studio. It's very easy to use, you just click a few times, wait a minute, and done. You can search for tutorials on Youtube, it's really easy to do :)

They are actually typical balinese, they must get them from there, super lovely webside:)
I'm willing to wait for additional things if you want to add them, it's important not to overwork yourself. But you'll also have to think if trims are worth it if they bite into the time for your next project :D

If time ever permits, I would be over the moon if you ever chose to do an entire months release just devoted to functional columns, spandrels and fences for old packs of yours. In particular, the gothic pack. Also, just out of curiosity, is there a particular time period or region that Colonial is inspired from?
I can't wait for this set and future sets to come with your new ability to make fences! We really do need better fences and gates in the game.

I love your stuff, but I also love that you ask us our comments. There are two things I would really love to see! The first is on the same thought wave of new plants, but it would also awesome if you created sort of pre-made landscaping. So almost like a hedgerow or something, but it would be a bunch of plants together for those of us who love the look but don't always want to do our own landscaping? The other would be some activities re-meshed for the era. I love to play the history challenges, so you could create either a fake or working "marbles circle." In this same vein could take the horseshoe rings and tweak it to look like an era or local game. Other items could be: a new swing, more well-lit off grid wall lamps, some shutters that are not attached to windows, etc.
I do think we desperately need more gates in the game!

You mentioned Laos and Luang Prabang, and the first thing that popped in to my head was elephants! Laos has the threeheaded elephant as a symbol and Luang Prabang has an elephant village, so why not make a fountain with a threeheaded elephant?
I lived in Laos for a couple of years, in the 1980s, and I'm so looking forward to this particular CC.

Oh Yess! We need more spandrels and columns and fences (decent ones Felixandre style). The other things is friezes. Thejim07 has done Fab Doric and Ionic ones, but if you were to do Indochinese ones that would be fab in the extreme, especially corner pieces. It bugs me when doing classical buildings to have to fudge the corners. Any sort of roof objects, minarets, domes etc would also be very very appreciated. Stair spandrels and or stair carpets a la Raffles hotel would be awesome.

They look incredible as always :) and as a suggestion, maybe having some of the meshes as an individual decor pieces may provide us some more flexibility as the sprandels and other objects have a very limited usages.
This is Great, I can't think of anything, and I'll enjoy whatever you make. Well now that you got the spandrels, etc down. I'm down for a Nola/Willow Creek Set in the future, Wrought Iron Spandrels, and Fencing, Tall Doors, and Windows, Plaster/Brick walls.
For future plan with more Colonial-Indochine stuff, would you consider doing floor tiles too? encaustic cement tiles is a pretty big part of Indochine style.

I’d love Versailles planter boxes (designed by Andre Le Notre) for fruit trees to grow in or large terracotta pots for fruit trees. So they can be dotted along a path or terrace.
Toll gemacht. For an e.g. have you considered a brick round bench, with fountain in middle? Thank you for sharing the wip.
Perhaps some window details, like window sills that fits most (of your) general window sizes, so windows can be made to look like they fit in sets. Decorative plaster detailing for the outside, like the corner pieces you made for the tudor set. Perhaps some roof detailing. Hope this helps!

Maybe you could add balconies with the new style, decorative facade vases, some decorative panels, cornices, decorative volutes, dentil ornaments, roof lanterns, medallion and festoon ornaments. Plants like Celosia Asian, Asian Skunk Cabbage, Palmyra Palm, Pitcher Plant, Monstera Plant, Bamboos (the ones in game are not enough haha). Thanks for let us give you some suggestions 🙌🏼👏🏼
