🎉 MindWare Version 0.3.9 (Release Candidate)
The 0.3.9 Release Candidate is now available. This build gives Ray's feminizing-pill route the continuation that was missing from Supporters Beta 2 and brings the version close to its public release.
You can now ask Crash about estrogen pills and follow the hospital lead through a new conversation with the Panacea nurse, who lets you book an appointment with the hospital's psychiatrist, Dr. Hart. If you've been following the game's development for some time, you may already be familiar with Dr. Hart: her content was cut from the game about a year ago. That content is finally making a comeback in an edited form that I believe fits the main story better.
The first two appointments with Dr. Hart are currently playable. Both include an interactive assessment in which you reveal obscured images while Dr. Hart monitors what holds your attention and how your body responds. At the end of the second appointment, you can schedule a third visit, which is the current Work in Progress boundary.
The release candidate also fixes two important interruption problems found in the latest bug-report sweep. Aegis Scan 2 no longer marks itself complete before its story has actually finished, failed scan videos offer visible recovery choices, and affected older saves can resume the interrupted scan. Required Instant Messenger conversations can no longer be escaped with the global history controls, while players already caught outside one can reopen Chat and continue it safely.
There are several smaller fixes as well: Bliss purchases and pill counts now remain consistent, confronting Reek requires and consumes a full ten pills, transition appointments cost one action point, and the psychiatrist route is clearer about when appointments first become available.
Release candidate means this is the final testing pass before the public 0.3.9 release, so please send a bug report if anything behaves strangely.

Full Archive (about 3.85 GB): use this for a clean installation or when updating from anything other than Supporters Beta 2.
Beta 2 to Release Candidate Update (about 12.3 MB): use this only with an unmodified full archive of 0.3.9 (Supporters Beta 2). Extract it into that folder, merge the media folders, replace files when asked, and open the new Release Candidate HTML file.
HTML-only (about 2.04 MB): this advanced option contains no media. Use it only if you already have the complete Release Candidate media folders.
Your browser saves are not stored inside the game folder, but making a backup from the Save menu before updating is always a good idea.

I’m continuing to enjoy this game. If i may be allowed a single criticism, the daily grind element is a bit out of hand. If you’ve done pretty much everything else that can be done in an update, it gets very repetitive moving through several days for one “appointment” or another.
Thank you for your feedback. I completely agree with you. The game has so many shortcomings that I should have addressed a long time ago, but there were many periods when I was happy to keep making at least some progress for a variety of reasons (mostly lack of time and sometimes poor mental health, largely stemming from it). The good news is that things have been much better lately. I’ve established a nice pace, and I’m slowly but surely working my way through the mountain of backlog I’ve accumulated. My goal is to make the entire second chapter feel a lot more like the first chapter in terms of pacing. Most of the static delays will likely become dynamic, so things take longer if players still have plenty of other tasks to do and shorter if they don’t. There will also be more content to fill the spaces between the main story beats.
HI, I just realised something about the saves. if you use google chrome it saves all your html games using the same folder, so the local storage fills up with multiple games. but if you use firfox the saves are stored per individual game in local storage. thought this might help
Thanks for the heads-up! I’ll add a note about this to the game’s UI.
