After dozens of hours of work, I’m proud to announce a major milestone in the HZDR modding journey. Introducing the ModForge Vortex extension for HZDR!

This extension works much like its elder sibling, ModForge for HFW, making mod installation simple and stylish. The principle remains the same: drop in your mods, head to the ModForge page, and pack them with the Quick Pack button.

So how to get started?

1. If you don’t already have it, install Vortex from Nexusmods (download Vortex)

1. Download the ModForge Extension for HZDR

1. Open Vortex and go to Home page > Extensions and drag the ModForge HZDR extension into drop field.
   Note: if you have other extension for HZDR (from other author) pls disable or delete it.

1. Restart your Vortex app

1. Make sure to activate your HZDR game. To do so, go to Games section, find the game by typing its name in the search field and press Manage button.

1. Everything’s set up, now it’s time to jump right into installing your new HZDR mods!

How to install mods?

1. Grab the compatible mods right below this post.

1. Select the HZDR game from the left panel and go to mods page.

1. Find the mods that you have downloaded, choose mods that you like or just select all and drag the archives into the drop field

1. And at last, go to ModForge page and press "Quick Pack" button.

1. You done. Now you can start your HZDR and enjoy the mods.

What mods do we have for now?

The mods listed below are fan‑favorites from the original HZD, now successfully ported to HZDR. Only a handful have been brought over so far, but the work continues — and more of them will be available soon!

• All Rewards Unlocked - unlocks all face paints and focus color effects from the start of the game.

• Arrow Ballistics Overhaul - all arrows in game now have new Ballistics. For hardcore players only.

• Better Weather - mod improving weather in Frozen Wilds area. Less wind, no snowing, better temperature.

• Buy Quest Outfits - merchants now sell quest outfits, such as: Shield Weaver, Undergarments and more... (use merchants from big cities, such as Meridian)

• Centered Camera - makes player camera to stay centered, no more camera drifting.

• Friendly Animals - animals not scared of Aloy anymore.
