Modding Marathon Day 4: Second Chance Survivor

Before, the Second Chance skill was like rolling dice with fate:

• Level 1: 33% chance to survive a killing blow.

• Level 2: 66% chance if the gods of RNG were kind.

And it only worked when Aloy’s health dropped below 25%, meaning you had to flirt with death just to trigger it. On top of that, the cooldown was a long 3.5 minutes, leaving you vulnerable in extended fights.

With Second Chance Survivor, all of that changes:

• 100% survival guarantee - no more coin flips.

• Cooldown reduced to 2 minutes, so you can rely on it more often.

• No critical health requirement - it activates whenever Aloy takes a killing blow, regardless of her HP.

How to find Second Chance skill in game?

Second Chance skill can be unlocked via outfits and weaves only (not a skill tree perk). You can find it with the Nora Thunder Elite, Utaru Protector, Utaru Ritesinger, or Nora Lookout outfits, depending on how much they have been upgraded. Upgrading the Tenakth Vanquisher outfit to level 3 provides a +2 weave that can then be slotted into any outfit.
