E6 Dev Update #8
Hi all, quick check in:
Work is going ok but last week was a little stressful for me due to some of the new laws being introduced in the UK next month regarding adult content. I won't go into details right now but there's a lot of stuff that's going to be banned in the UK such as choking, incest themes etc. While this is more targeting real pornography it does make me nervous about the direction the UK is heading in and how it might affect Elmwood in the future.
Creating Elmwood will always be my priority and there's nothing that could stop me from doing it. This is my dream job and I'm so lucky to have such an incredible community that allows me to do this full time. I will never give up on Elmwood and if I have to move country to create my vision then I will. I love our little Elmworld way too much and honestly it's my biggest priority in life.
So as it happens, I'm actually writing this from a very cheap hotel in a mystery European city that I'm considering relocating to. Won't be doing any animations or rendering this week as I'm away from my PC but I've got another outfit preview scheduled on Thursday for you.

Those restrictions exist because politicians often prefer to sidestep the real challenges facing their nations. Instead of tackling genuine issues like economic struggles and widespread stagnation, they'd rather shift public focus elsewhere—somewhere else toward adult content! It's pretty wild when you think about it, right? And honestly, the UK isn't alone in this pattern; it's a trend we see across many political systems. That said, Elmwood is genuinely fantastic—it's an AVN with one of the best compelling LIs out there and and with almost unprecedented freedom of choice. That's exactly why I'm such a fan and why I'm rooting for this project to succeed. Here's hoping everything works out brilliantly! Long live Elmwood!
Interesting wording on the law “ The offences only capture pornography that shows people which appear, to a reasonable person, to be real.” Lovely as your art is I don’t think a reasonable person could say it is real.
Although I've been away from the UK for several years, I still observe the changing restrictions on the sex industry in the UK and other European countries. Restrictions are inevitably increasing because both the left and right wings use porn as a scapegoat for their failures. I really don't want you to abort the project just because of the ridiculous censorship.
I have absolutely no intention of ever giving up on Elmwood, I love it too much

It's feels very censory in the UK rn, I wrote to my MP about all that went on previously with the Internet age verification business. It feels like we're already on that slippery slope towards fascism. Let people enjoy what they want to enjoy, it's fantasy and creative liberty, as long as no one is harmed, why is it suddenly my governments concern what I am allowed to enjoy? "Book burnings. Always the forerunners. Heralds of the stake, the ovens, the mass graves"
In some people's eyes, sayings like "no one is harmed" are just an excuse. They believe the mere existence of certain content is an offense and they'd love to take control of everything that common folks enjoy.
