Well congrats ACC a new most horrifying episode 😭 I can’t stop thinking about how awful this whole thing was and IS
Wow, unconscionable! But after a while, I just really run out of words!
Im 25 minutes in and cannot even try to imagine how scared these guys must of been . Its a truly horrific story
As I listened at work and got more and more enraged, I would pause the episode, decompress by airing my grievances to my coworkers and then resume. This story makes me so mad. Thanks ACC for a respectful coverage.
I actually couldn’t finish listening to this episode. How tragic and horrific
Definitely agree. Maybe someday to revisit, but those poor men and the lone survivor's account is far too haunting.
Thank you for making judicious choices in how much of the divers' actual audio you used. I couldn't listen to Tapes From the Dark Side's version of this story - too horrific. I also appreciated how you covered the investigation. Just a sad, sad story all around.
Disgusting. Just fucking disgusting.
This is my favourite podcast. I punch the air when a new one is released. And I only lasted about 10 minutes into this one. Sorry, couldn’t deal with the subject, but thank you as always, ACC, for seeking out these stories
Was about to leave a similar comment - I made it 8mins into the episode. The tragic nature of the deaths is too dark for me, too. Will skip this one, but look forward to the next. x
I started listening to this and thought "I've already heard this. How?" Then I realised another podcast I listen to covered this and also used the real audio. The podcast was Doomsday, History's Most Dangerous Podcast and covers disasters (it's also quite humorous) if anyone is interested. So I can settle back and listen to your take in the knowledge that I'm not just old and confused 😁
Well, at lest it’s not just Corporate America that is evil, sick, and greedy!
That's true, unfortunately. I did notice a bump up of audio quality which surprised me.
Thanks, ACC. People that work on oil pipelines deserve better. Also, the audio was insanely good for this episode.
I noticed the audio was great as well
What a story. Great job, ACC and deformr. One of the ridiculous things about people in a position of power is that they *have* to deny reality because if they gave even an inch, a dam (of truth) would burst. I'm just amazed that it *keeps* working. The bar on political stunts has been lowered upon hearing that offer, wow.
So I just realized the one I listened to was done by Tapes by the Darkside and the narrator’s voices are very similar! Haha
Powerful story and very well done. I am shocked that I’ve never heard about this and can find very little coverage on US news sites.
That was some scary shit to hear first thing in the morning. Great writing man.
Oof. This one was especially infuriating. Great storytelling as always, but damn, that was a bummer.
Omg thanks for making this, I have this incident on my mind a lot. Have it saved in my phone
Read the title and my heart dropped 👀 can't wait to listen to this in the shower
Just as I was getting in my car for a nice 45 minute drive
What a tragic tale. Excellent story telling, woof.
Thank YOU for your work as ACC! 🎉
