I want to listen to this episode again but I can't take the way it ends!
Listening to this for like the 8th time and just now getting "380 degree turn around" 😂
God, I hope those children found in the call centers are OK. Ripped from parents likewise deceived, enslaved for the pleasure of one man and his select circle of cronies for years on end. Who knows if they had enough to eat or time to sleep, let alone an opportunity for education, play, and meeting their other developmental needs. Hopefully they've subsequently had access to proper government and familial support structures, but I fear like so often is the case after this brief bout of attention when bring rescued, they will fall through the cracks once again.
Three rounds of a slow clap applause for the brilliant strategy from the divorce attorney and husband. And throw in 5 chef’s kisses because that was a beautiful legal art form.
In a maddening sort of way, this episode is making me question whether or not I know what reality is🤪
Leap of Faith, Steve Martin and Liam Neeson. It wasn’t big enough, but it was true enough.
The Nelly “Hot shit!” clip made me bust out laughing! Nice inclusion! 🤣
What does Jesus have against amputees?
Thanks, ACC. Prosperity gospel is a parasitic plague.
Sure is! It is complete heresy and the main reason I left the Four-Square Gospel church (a west-coast based Charismatic church founded by Aimee Semple McPherson in the early 20th century), more than 40 years ago.
I don't if there are any Augusta, GA/CSRA area listeners, but I remember when the FBI raided the Columbia County mansion.
Aiken, SC area: Crazy! I need to look up that location.
The attorney pressing him about his finances was like Michael Scott having a meeting with Jan. ‘….it was to cut the Mercedes into a limo…’
I literally despise these people and the dipshits that fall to prosperity gospel. Like, you really have to be a certain kind of stupid. Mormons in this bracket too. The amount that 700 Club crock of shit is is on while patients are dying is fucking disgusting. Tithe for your tombstone
You have to be a certain kind of gullible, a certain kind of selfish, and a certain kind of corrupt to fall into the heretical “prosperity gospel.”
Bold of you to assume i am not a jezebel.
Need this on a shirt
The Broncos did NOT in fact win the Super Bowl 😂💀 God himself changed the channel Go Hawks 💙💚
Cutting a Mercedes into a limo to spread the word of the lord. Totally normal.
You don’t expect Jesus to just ride in a regular old Mercedes, do you? Yeah sure, 2,000 years ago he rode on a donkey, but that was before he was a superstar! 🤣
First heard about this guy yesterday on another podcast. Great synergy!
What an episode 👏 I did not expect the depth of this story... By the second half, I got shades of Ross Ulbrecht (Silk Road) and David Koresh and yet with a *modern* twist. There are no new ideas for deceptions as old as time.
Do some actual research on Ross Ulbrecht. Your comparison is absurd.
Bravo, another incredible episode 👏👏👏
I totally agree!
There's so much that's plainly incorrect with Taylor's teachings that he should've been cast out a long time ago. The Christian Church on the whole is really letting itself down when it comes to cracking down on false prophets. There's no point having all these new followers if they aren't being properly informed of the Word of God, and every single one of these scandals drives so many people further and further away from the Church. Really, if anyone claims to be a miracle worker (definitely to such a prolific degree as Taylor) it should be taken with a grain of salt. Miracles can't be willed into happening, especially not with money. And to treat suffering as something that needs to be miracled away discounts the possibility that it serves a purpose.
well said!
I've got some mental health problems. You know. Username checks out. Docs sent me to a place where I could stare into the void in peace, but I ended up at the wrong facility. Nice social worker lady was taking me to the right building and of course she launches into the "don't kill yourself haha you're so hot" thing. Then she goes on, "There's a Kingdom, when you die. It's so wonderful. Everyone there is happy, and they have everything you could ever want. It's so beautiful there, and when you leave this life, you can go there. To the Kingdom." (No mention of 'but you have to not attempt to start a career as a speedbump' or 'there is some light worship required.') I made the polite noises that one makes when something extremely stupid is being said but you can't throw yourself out of the vehicle because there are childproof locks on the doors. She pulls up to the building, lets me out, then grabs me to hug me. "REMEMBER," she Mufasas directly into my ear, "THE KINGDOMMMMM." It's been over ten years but I still think about that lady a lot. I wonder if she's still out there telling suicidal people to look forward to being dead.
Omg I can’t with these guys ! Thank you for another amazing episode!
Hello Pete, hope you can hear me cuz if you can’t you’re in trouble
