Update on projects/current PES2021 work!
Hi all,
A lot of you will have seen the Dynamic Sun mod I've been working on for PES 2021 that was shared on X this week. This is something I've spent a fair bit of time working on with a lot of help from AI tools, that along with the new Dynamic Broadcast Cam has (also still unreleased) has taken my attention away from stadiums over the last few weeks. I just wanted to make this post to give some more information on where I'm at with projects.
Daylight Engine - Dynamic Lighting for PES 2021 (Early access Beta for members coming this week) Free Release TBC
Daylight Engine is a Sider module for PES 2021 that makes the sun actually move during a match. Instead of the game picking one fixed time of day and freezing it for ninety minutes, Daylight Engine advances the clock in real time in sync with the in game match clock (or faster, can be customised), so the sun crosses the sky, shadows sweep and lengthen across the pitch, and the light changes colour as the afternoon wears on. Every stadium’s own light file is still respected: the module reads the time spans the stadium/light file maker set up, and based on the north angle, longtitude, latitude and day/month of the year the stadium shadow and lighting will adjust based on the real in game time.
Initially I had issues with performance when setting the sun in real time however after much testing and tweaking I've managed to get into a place where performance is almost untouched. The sun position, shadow direction, exposure, sky and atmospheric colours are all updated live on the game’s own per-frame lighting path, with the heavier updates (such as the bounced light recalculation) held back until a natural stoppage so there’s no visible pop and no frame-rate cost during open play. The result is a match that feels like it’s happening in a real place at a real time of day — you can glance at the shadows and tell how long you’ve been playing.
This will be getting a Beta release for testing purposes for all members this week, there will then be a free release on EvoWeb once the testing period is complete.
Hill Dickinson Stadium - (Early Access Release TOMORROW 09/10/2026) - Free EvoWeb Release October 25th 2026
I think everyone has waited long enough for this one so enough said, early access release post coming later today!
Dynamic Broadcast Camera - Free Release on EvoWeb TBC
A camera module for PES 2021 (sider) that makes the broadcast camera behave like a real TV camera operator instead of a fixed view. This will be a free release on EvoWeb and will be a collaberation project with @ProEvoClips
Dynamic zoom that follows the ball
Pulls in when play is on the far side of the pitch and widens when it comes to the near touchline.
Tightens as play moves towards the corners and the boxes, with separate control over how much on the near and far sides.
Widens for long balls and fast counter-attacks so you don’t lose the play.
Opens up wide at kick-off, then slowly zooms back in once the game gets going.
Zooms in on the scorer when a goal goes in, the way a real broadcast does.
Goes extra wide while the keeper sets up a goal kick, for yours and the CPU’s.
Set pieces
Corners, free kicks, penalties and goal kicks reset to a neutral zoom, so any tight zoom from the build-up doesn’t carry over. Throw-ins are left alone.
Free kicks and corners cut straight back to the broadcast camera once the power is set, like real TV coverage.
Penalties can be shown from the broadcast camera instead of the game’s penalty camera.
SetPieceCam gives corners, free kicks and goal kicks their own height, zoom, camera height and field of view.
SpiderCam
A pre-match camera shot as you take control for kick-off, picked at random from a set of shots such as a bird’s-eye view, a crane drop and a panoramic sweep of the stadium.
It cuts to the broadcast camera the moment the ball is kicked.
Switch it on for bigger stadiums that have a real SpiderCam, and leave it off for those that don’t.
Per-stadium settings
Everything is adjusted live in the sider overlay.
Settings can be saved for all stadiums or for each stadium on its own.
Other Projects
I am also still working on updates to the attendance mod I shared on EvoWeb (dynamic changing attendance based on scoreline etc), as well as still being around 50% of the way through completing Hamburgs Volksparkstadion. I also have a new chantslong.lua to share this week so keep your eyes peeled for that, this solves a long term problem of the sound playing through on field moments like goals etc. The module is now programmed to react to on field events and pause when required.
In the meantime I appreciate the support, I'll also be setting up a discord server and will try to be active on there to help with any questions from any of you relating to my mods.

hi amazing hill dickinson stadium, i only have a little problem with the adboard, there white carpet in de staduim do you know how to remove them?
Hi mate, if your not using ARL adboards you’ll need to navigate to your adboard map, get the name your using for Everton then rename both the fpk, fpkd and folder name of my premier league adboards in the stadium common/bill folder to whatever yours are. I’ll share a more detailed explanation tomorrow if your struggling
This dynamic light mod looks absolutely insane on the video bro 🤯🤯🤯, will this mod work for every stadium i currently have in my game??
Yes it will, it basically runs its cycle through each stadiums light file that is loaded into the match. I need feedback on how it affects different match types/weathers so I can refine it
